I approach guitar lessons in a different way than most teachers. Having now taught more than 4,000 guitar lessons to over 200 different students, I have developed a unique style of explaining and demonstrating playing technique and music theory that is effective for a wide range of experience levels and musical styles.
I am not looking to force anything on my students. Instead, I find out what they actually want to learn, what types of music they like, and what their goals are. Then I create a series of custom lessons that allow them to quickly learn or improve their skills on the guitar.
In addition to teaching guitar, I also offer a full range of audio recording, editing, mixing and mastering services, as well as teaching recording and producing using Logic Pro/GarageBand software.
Playing music has been a lifelong passion of mine. Having spent thousands of hours honing my skills on the guitar and recording/mixing techniques, I find it very rewarding to share the knowledge I have built with others, and to allow them to find the same enjoyment with music as I do.

I’ve been taking lessons with Tim for almost a year now. I’ve been playing for a few years and hit a road block in my playing and needed an instructor to help me get through it. When I reached out to Tim I was interested in expanding my knowledge with guitar as well as recording and mixing.
Within a few weeks with Tim I was able to get over that road block as he showed me a lot of new things with music theory, chord shapes, scales, techniques, etc. Once I had a better understanding of music theory we began recording and producing guitar pieces in Logic Pro in his studio. Tim showed me new techniques when recording guitar to make the production sound full and professional. Even when we’re just working on recording, I still learn new things on the guitar as well.
Tim is a very knowledgeable musician and music producer. He’s patient and willing to go at the pace you need. He’s also very flexible with scheduling and rescheduling sessions. I’d recommend Tim to anyone that is either learning to play for the first time or trying to grow from where they are.

I have worked with Tim on recording, mixing and mastering over 10 songs now, and he is absolutely fantastic!
I have hired him to help me track vocals, guitar, harmonica, and bass. He has also helped me mix 10 songs, and master 10 songs.
He has been worth every dollar I have paid him for this work. I wish I could have paid him more!

Tim is an awesome combination of an extraordinary musician and a first class recording engineer. He is remarkably creative and knowledgeable but also quite respectful of his clients’ visions and hopes for their music. He knows a wide array of music genres. His recording studio is quite sophisticated and complete. He is professional but friendly and engaging.
You could not do better than Tim as an instructor or recording engineer.

Tim was a fantastic producer, engineer, and musician on my 11 song album. He was able to work with my GarageBand demos and transform them into amazing works of musical art. He let me know from the beginning that the album decisions were all mine and that he would be guided by my choices. What he did was take my songs up to a level of quality beyond my highest expectations. His musical ability is fantastic. I smile every time I listen to any of my songs with him.
