Introduction
I specialize in classical piano. I will work on the development and improvement of technical skills, as well as a means of expression and interpretation of the classical piano repertoire.
While it is understood that some weeks are busier than others, I generally do expect students to come prepared and show at least a basic level of commitment. I have been teaching privately for many years, and I know for a fact that only regular practice and steady improvement keep students enthusiastic.

I learned so much from Kyung Wha and playing piano became an important part of my life. Short after starting to work with her, I made more time to spend at the piano than I used to. She has always been a pleasure to work with and her insights and teaching have made me a better piano player and musician in general. She has always been highly professional, very kind and dedicated. She most certainly has an extraordinary passion for music and teaching. She managed to create a very positive lesson atmosphere and in the same time work very efficiently and focused. I am glad I picked her, and I am very thankful for the whole experience (even though her place was not very close to mine). Bottom line: I can only recommend taking lessons with her!

I picked Kyung Wha as a teacher for my daughter Kate. Kate was 8 when we started lessons. Kyung Wha turned out to be the perfect teacher to get Kate started with the basics of piano playing and theory while keeping her motivated at all times. We started with half-hour lessons, and after a while upgraded to 45 minutes. That was a positive surprise for me, because Kate so far had not proven to have a long attention span. Kate loved Kyung Wha from the beginning so she is always looking forward to her piano lessons. If you have a kid that is a beginner, you can be confident in chossing Kyung Wha.
