Introduction: Lessons are catered to each individual student and are conducted in a supportive environment where students get results. With music, the best results only come to those who put in 100% both during lessons and during individual practice time. This is key in any musical pursuit. Overall, I want lessons to be enjoyable while still maintaining a sense of progress for the student. The best part about being a music educator is that I get to share my love of music with all of my students. My daughter has been taking piano and voice lessons from Chelsea for the last three years. It has been a great experience! Chelsea has a wealth of knowledge and a caring, supportive approach. With her help, my daughter has continued to improve as a musician. She has been in All-County Chorus for the last three years and a member of the Maryland All-State Chorus this past year. She has also gotten roles in several musical theatre productions, with help from Chelsea in preparing for auditions. Ms. Chelsea tailors the lessons based on my daughter's interests and goals. She is approachable and flexible, willing to work with our schedules and also adjust her plan when my daughter needs assistance to prepare for an audition or performance. Chelsea picks out music of different genres, ranging from foreign language pieces to show tunes. She also holds yearly recitals to give her students a chance to perform and to demonstrate what they have learned. Chelsea's knowledge of music and her love of music clearly shine through, and I see that reflected in my daughter's own love of music. I highly recommend Chelsea as a music teacher!

My daughter had the privilege and pleasure of having Ms. Buyalos as a piano instructor since 2014. Ms. Buyalos' ability to instruct the mind, hands, AND heart of my young daughter lesson after lesson, with such a high degree of professionalism, proficiency, and passion was truly inspiring and motivating to witness as a parent, and as a human being. Ms. Buyalos was consistently thoughtful and thorough when it came to providing my daughter with the right combination of challenge and support, to further her development as a young musician beyond mere technicality to actual musicality. Chelsea and I have worked together on numerous occasions and she is an absolute delight! She is one of the most skilled musicians I've been privileged to work with. But she is also one of the finest people I know! It is rare to find someone with her skill and people skills. She is gifted and confident but humble. Chelsea has worked with my daughter Molly for 4 years as her piano teacher. Not only has Molly excelled very quickly because of Chelsea's ability to tune into Molly's strengths but Chelsea has also worked very hard to help Molly strengthen her weaknesses. She has always been encouraging, supportive and professional. We were all very sad to have to leave Chelsea.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lessons are purchase monthly. Pay as you go option is only offered for 60 minute lessons. (Purchase two at a time.)
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After reviewing the request, I usually reach out to the potential client to get more details regarding their goals. We also would take that time to discuss scheduling. **Please note I do not use the Thumbtack Calendar. Scheduling is done directly with me.**
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold several degrees in music and have several years of teaching experience.
