The local Moverz crew was awesome. Hands down best move team I've ever worked with. Experienced, friendly, energetic and fun guys to talk with with. Bellhop as a referral service experience was not super great to work with -- staff were all friendly and nice to work with, the online experience was also simple but the referral service model causes issues. Bellhop appears to hire out to local teams and while it's not cheap for customers, I suspect Bellhop skims too much off the top not giving enough to its hired teams doing the real heavy lifting. As a result the hired team might take a better job and leave you without a crew on your move date. This is what I think happened to me. The night before I chatted with my crew, everything seemed to be in orders, the day of they say they are running late. A few hours later it's not clear they are coming so I got assigned another team. Of course they weren't expecting the job, so it took a little while for them to get here. The second team arrived 5 hours after the original start time, but made quick work of everything and got it done an hour early just before the rain. I can't say enough good stuff about the replacement team (Your Local Moverz). I think next time I will avoid the referral services and try to book a team directly. You might get lucky and get this team, but you might not.
