I went to get a broken home button fixed on an iPhone 5 and the technician replaced the button at a reasonable price, far below what the Apple store 'genius bar' quoted. But the phone which was working to that point, would not come on.
I was not too optimistic at this point and thought it was a lost cause but the technician called his manager and they assured me the would get to the bottom of it and fix it, whatever it took. It was up and down for a whole day and at one point they planned to replace the mother board, but ultimately a third technician figured out and fixed the problem. I did not loose any data and at no point was I told it would cost extra. I give them 5 stars for customer service but will rate @ 4 for this service overall because of the complications that perhaps could have been avoided. I would certainly go there again.
