One of the few contractors who does excellent work, has humility, does not leave a mess, is friendly and reaches out to you when he is delayed but also shows up then.
Renaissance did an amazing job on my den. I originally hired them to mount a tv and ended up having him paint 2 rooms as well. They were on time, very responsive and knowledgeable. I had another contractor install a cable outlet and electrical outlet above my fireplace to make the mounting of my tv easy. However that contractor didn't do an efficient job and when Antonio mounted the tv both outlets were showing. It is very important to me that only the tv be visible after mounting. Antonio assured me that he would not only hide the cable box and cords but would fix the other contractors work as well. I was able to relax and everything was taken care of to my specifications. They went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met and I was satisfied with the job. I would recommend them as well as use them again for other home improvement projects.
We could not have been happier with our experience with Mark and his team of installers. From the start, Mark was responsive, patient, efficient, and helpful. He made our small kitchen remodel project easy and pleasant and got it done in record time. I had several estimates done before I made a decision and there was no question Mark was the best choice on price, reliability, ease of doing business, and options. He arrived to measure with granite samples which was a major convenience for us. He was also able to communicate with me via email and text which was very efficient. Installation day went great - Mark employs first-rate carpenters, granite installers, and plumbers to complete the job. Mark fixed a minor issue with one of the granite pieces professionally and swiftly. We 110% recommend Mark and Ideal Stone.
After meeting with four different general contractors, Mr. Marvin Guzman with Baiza Construction, Inc showed his best attitude to take part on a serious complete home improvement we had for our 1956 home. He didn't only provided a quick estimate, But time frame to complete and over all his price. My project was based on a full 2 bathrooms remodeling, plaster walls removal/replacement, insulation, plumbing, electrical, kitchen remodeling and about 2500 square foot of hardwood floor installation. My best recommendation to future hires and families of his great quality work. My contract worth 86k were put on the best hands.
Luis Valle is an excellent interior painter! He did such an amazing job painting my rooms that I also hired him to lay floor tile in my bathroom. He went above and beyond both times! Will hire him again for any handyman job needed. A+
I hired E.Y. Construction to replace a window in my master bathroom, install marble tile with a mosaic inlay on all walls, porcelain tile in the floor, a onyx river rock on the custom shower floor, and granite on the shower threshold and half wall. I hired Naser because all his references had nothing but good things to say about him.... Wow they were right. All the workers were very professional, neat, and paid attention to detail. The bathroom window and tile job looks stunning. I am confident it was done above standards and will last well beyond my lifetime.
Mr. Litman and his staff at Unlimited not only fulfilled my expectations, they surpassed them. I would DEFINITELY recommend them as contractors on my future contracting needs. Glad that I experienced them as a company.
Tim and his crew did a great job on our basement finishing! Tim was very knowledgeable throughout the process and was very accommodating to with our busy schedules. He and his crew were very trustworthy as most of the time they worked in the house while we were away. Special thanks to Neil and the other gentleman on the team. They were always very friendly and responsive when I needed anything or had a question. My only negative, hence 4 stars, would be that I would have liked to only have had Tim as the sole POC versus us having to deal one on one with the other contractors on the project as it made for a lot of calls and additional tasks to manage. This was our first project so we were not really sure how everything worked. All in all, they did a great job and made our space beautiful! We would definitely use again for any project!
I used thumbtack to find a local contractor for the replacement of my driveway. I met with several contractors and Mauricio Stone gave me the best price per sq ft. He met with me to go over the scope of work that i requested. I was pleased with the entire job from start to finish.
Months ago, I looked for someone to do a small painting project on Thumbtack. And I ended up with a brand new home. Christian, Jessica, Hector and the rest of the team at 5th Gen Group honestly do miracles. We own a 100+ year old row home in Washington DC and we've had problems ever since we moved in five years ago. After dealing with four different contractors that left me unsatisfied, I tried Thumbtack (at that time, new in the DC area). Christian came out to do an estimate and I was impressed by him from the get go - as a woman, I hate when contractors act like I'm stupid or uninformed. Christian never did that, and he answered all my questions respectfully and thoroughly and would defer to my wishes. We initially contracted for a gut remodel of our ancient kitchen and leaking bathroom. Christian's professional opinion was heavily appreciated as well as his vision - he instantly "got" the feel of a space and spent a lot of time listening to not only what we wanted, but how we would use the space and what we planned for the house in the future. Of course, the best laid plans always go awry - we knew our house had a few "handyman specials" but once Christian opened up the floor in the kitchen, we realized we were really in for it. Down there was a hidden mess of rotting wires, missing piping, garbage from the last renovations, and rotted-out beams. Overnight, our budget doubled. I personally wanted to die. But Christian calmly lead us through the process, helped us try to salvage our murdered budget, and focused on explaining the trade-off in home values. We ended up with an additional half bath downstairs (because really, what was another 5K at that point?), brand new kitchen (with a small bar!) a brand new stairwell and relocated laundry room, and a brand new bathroom with a shower (after 5 years of an ancient leaking cast iron tub). Christian isn't completely perfect - he's totally a perfectionist, and if you are one too, be prepared for some long conversations. There is an epic texting exchange over the bathroom tile that I may print out just to see how long it really was. But that's about the only thing. Also, for the other ladies on here- I always hate opening my home to someone because I have had bad experiences with contractors who were, at best, creepy. Christian and Hector were completely professional, and they really went the extra mile to make sure I always knew who would be in the house, when they would arrive, and how to reach both of them. Christian also has a lot of loyalty and integrity toward his clients - he is always fair, both in pricing and in the treatment of your home. He broke a small appliance - the only reason I knew was because he called me when he was purchasing an (upgraded) replacement on his own dime. All renovations are hard projects, long projects, and frequently frustrating. There was definitely a day when I wanted to kill Christian for sending me out to two different quarries in far out Virginia right around rush around. But when I stepped into my home for the first time, I couldn't stop smiling. And when we finally scrape together the budget for a third floor extension, I know exactly who I am calling.
Dear Thumbtack, I had several granite companies who quoted our work and all of them were very quick to respond. However, I had the best deal from DECO and they were the fastest in response time. Their turn around time from start to finish was 2 1/2 days which is unheard of. They did a fantastic job and my bar looks like it could be on a home modeling show. I didn't not attach the photo because I have not completed my 3-D wall paneling yet. Bottom line, I highly recommend DECO, or at least give them a chance to bid on your job, you will not regret it. DECO, you guys rock:) No pun intended.
We recently had Valle Remodeling Inc completely renovate (floor to ceiling) our bathroom in three days. From start (buying the items from Lowes) to finish, we are extremely satisfied by the level of expert service provided by the contractor. It is the highest level of satisfaction one can derive from a remodeling job. He is extremely experienced, very affordable, goes beyond expectations, timely, and above all is very courteous. We are very happy that we found him to do the remodeling and we are already talking to add a half-bath in our basement.
I'm very pleased with the backsplash that was put in. It looks excellent and service was even better. Joel came on time and worked very hard the entire day. I had supplied the tile and materials and towards the end of the installation, were running low on grout mix. Already past 5:30 pm, it was not at the local Home Depot and Joel was more than willing to wait for me to go run to the tile store for an hour round trip. Because of this, he ended up staying much later than expected into the evening, all of this on the night before Thanksgiving. I couldn't be more appreciative of the service and quality of installation!
Marcus made my marble floors and shower look new again! Based on his experience, he knew actually what was needed and offered a very good price. He does an outstanding job, very professional and a pleasure to work.
Cut down trees removed old stumps and cleared yard. Great contractor very professional and friendly, quick to respond.
One of the few contractors that we have worked with who reply within an hour.
DB did a fabulous job. I absolutely recommend him for anyone looking to buy and install granite countertops.
Dominik is a nice guy. His pricing was better than most and the quality of work was good. The project dragged longer that initially estimated but the main issue I had with Dominik was that he was hard to get a hold. As far as schedule goes he overpromised and under delivered. This was a complete kitchen remodeling project that required different set of skills. In the end everything turned out fine and the kitchen looks great. I would recommend him based on the price and my belief that most likely I will have the same scheduling issues with most good contractors that don't brake the bank.
Was very responsive and able to come out the next day. Did a great job installing a large medicine cabinet and was even prepared when additional electric work was needed. I plan on having him come back to tile my kitchen.
Excellent work by this crew! I will be hiring them again for additional work.
I just moved into the area and was looking for one company that could do all my needs. I needed my kitchen and bathroom remodeled. I also needed some work done in my basement. I contacted a few and in the end I found one that I really liked. It was Star Marble & Granite. When I called them I spoke to a gentleman named Trevor. He was very polite and helpful in all aspects of the things that I needed. He scheduled an appointment for Alvin and Isaac to come out to my home and discuss the things that I wanted done. I told them my ideas and wants for my basement and bathroom and Alvin came to me with his own ideas and I honestly fell for his ideas more than my own. We went to my kitchen and I was explaining to Isaac about what color I wanted for my granite countertops and he brought along samples that I looked at and I totally went another way. My project got started on time and before I knew it, it was done. I am very happy with the service that I received from Trevor, Alvin and Isaac. I would and will be recommending them in the future
