WOW, I was really impressed with Jason and Finest Texas Homes. My home had been listed with another real estate agent and had been on the market for eight months. Despite three open houses and several reductions in the price, I had few showings and disappointing feedback. I took my house off the market and decided to go with another realtor.       Jamie was amazing to work with. She was beyond patient with our very long timeline for searching for a new place to live and listing our condo, and then worked super hard to get us into our new townhouse in a somewhat short time frame, dealing with a difficult seller. We had challenges closing on our condo due to the other agent and the other bank, and she kept us calm and handled all the problems for us. She is professional, reliable, and down to earth.       What do real estate agents charge?

      Real estate agents typically don’t charge a set rate to their clients, but rather earn a commission on the price of the final home sale. In traditional real estate, there is a buyer’s agent and a seller’s agent. The two agents receive 5 percent to 6 percent of the final home sale price and split it evenly, meaning they each earn roughly 2.5 percent to 3 percent of the total home sale. If you are a home seller, you may have fees associated with the sale that are above and beyond the commission the agents earn.
