FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have attained my Accredited Jewelry Professional certification from the Gemological Institute of America, and am studying to become a Graduate Gemologist. I've also been doing crafts, weaving, and crafting jewelry, my whole life.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
A promise to my Dad, while he was dying. He and my Mom encouraged my creativity, and taught me a lot of arts, so, I'm trying to honor them. I've been weaving since I was about 2 or 3, beading since about 4 or 5, and wire wrapping since about 6, so I've always done this. Dad made me promise to start doing it as a profession, and I thank him, and Mom, for making this possible.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you provide detailed information regarding the artworks you want crafted. It's extremely hard to accurately estimate an artwork's cost without length/size, color, basic style... We need to visualize what You want, with the materials requested. Then accurate estimates can be made. Also, ask about experience... "How long have you been doing this?" This is an investment, and you want it to be a good one.
