Latest Review: I can’t say enough good things about Julian! We definitely hit the jackpot with him and in a very short time, he’s become a great trainer, mentor and role model for my 15 year old son who has wanted to increase his strength/stamina while working on his soccer skills. Julian very quickly responded to my search for a personal trainer and was incredibly professional during our introductory call. It was evident that his knowledge of /experience with soccer as a player and coach would be a good match for my son. He also shared his philosophy about strength training with kids, specifically how he seeks to understand what motivates and is important to them, so he could then weave in his expertise which ultimately would result in a truly customized program to help accomplish their goals. He was eager to “meet” my son and scheduled some time to speak with him personally over the phone and get to know him. I was impressed at how he was able to get from a 15-year old boy, what his fitness goals were! In less than a week of my initial inquiry, my son was training in the gym with Julian and has absolutely loved every session with him. Julian maximizes every second during each workout and even encourages kids to come in early to get warmed up (so really, while you pay for a 60-minute session, you get 70-75 minutes!) My son has already noticed physical changes, but beyond that, his sense of confidence, focus, and dedication has increased tremendously. Julian provides encouragement inside and outside the gym by keeping tabs on my son and checking in on how he’s doing. Even when my son tried out for another soccer team, Julian gave him sound advice throughout the process, acted as a sounding board, and alleviated any anxiety he had. The investment you make in Julian goes far beyond strength training; you also get someone who takes a genuine interest in your well-being and wants you to be successful. He empowers you with exercises which don’t require you to be in a gym (my son did his own workouts during the winter break) and with general “life skills/lessons”. Go for a free consultation with Julian ... you’ll be hooked!

Latest Review: I have no experience when it comes down to working out and carbs versus proteins. But I will say that Sherman does! Sherman is very knowledgeable about nutrition and working out to reach a certain goals. I was over weight and out of shape and with Sherman’s program and help I’ve been able to lose 20 pounds (so far) and increase my endurance. Sherman is very supportive and motivating as well. I truly appreciate him as a personal trainer and I don’t think I’ll find another like him for the price. I recommend him as long as he’s still available to train me.

Latest Review: This was my first time using a personal trainer, too. My kids, aged 9, 12, and 15, and I wanted to prepare for a hike across the Grand Canyon. We interviewed several trainers and hired Svetness in the end because 1) they required a 2-day a week minimum commitment - they didn't want to invest in us unless we were willing to make a serious commitment; 2) they offered meal planning guidance to coordinate with our training goals; and 3) they have a team of trainers so if one trainer wasn't a good fit personality-wise or not compatible with our busy family schedule, then there was always someone else to try. We were nervous that it might be too intense for us as becoming body-builders is not really high on our list of desired life-time achievements, but I can honestly say that misconception couldn't be farther from the truth. Over the course of a year we worked with 3 different trainers - all of which were great! They each had a different approach but we saw noticeable results with each. They all did a fabulous job of accurately assessing where we were physically and gradually build a plan for us so that we would improve our strength and endurance. The workouts were varied, so we were never bored, and they required us to use and build different muscle groups over time, fluctuating between strength conditioning and cardio. All of the trainers were WONDERFUL with the kids - modifying exercises so each of us could succeed and advance at our own ability level - and they kept it light and fun! Let's be clear, they worked us hard - oftentimes the kids and I would compare notes the next day about how sore we were! But the trainers were ALWAYS encouraging and never demeaning, no matter how out of shape we were or how much we struggled with an exercise. Worthy of note: we chose the 2-day-a-week commitment and made it a priority to exercise at least 3 additional days each week, which certainly contributed to our progress. With 30-40lb backpacks, we hiked across the Grand Canyon in 100+degree heat with ease. The kids improved drastically in their sports (baseball, basketball, and field hockey). We ran a 5K together (a first for all of us!) and made decent time. We weren't as sick this past year and have had more stamina in general. And as an added bonus, we have grown closer together as a family. This whole training thing has been a great experience for us - so much so that we have decided to continue with a second year with Svetness. Right now our training goal is just general fitness, with an emphasis on the things that will help the kids with their sports, but we are actively thinking about what our next physical challenge should be!

Latest Review: I've been working with Ken for about a month now and am already seeing results with my flexibility and overall conditioning. I have issues with one of my knees and Ken has been really great at finding exercises that work for me. I feel like he really puts in an effort to tailor my program to fit my individual needs and challenge me rather than a one size fit all approach. I find the workouts are fun and just fly by. If you want great results and a fun workout, go with Ken!
