- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I believe that henna is an art that should be enjoyed by everyone and, on that basis, I have a pricing system that is based on individual needs of a customer. I aim to be flexible and accommodate all budgets.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love new customers, especially customers who have not been exposed to natural henna in the past. I always explain what henna is, and the ingredients in my henna paste. I then go through my design portfolio with the customer and give them an opportunity to choose from my previous work or they can allow me to come up with a new and more personalized design. After applying the henna, the customer can choose to decorate their design with glitter or gems if he/she so wishes. I finish the henna application process with the homemade natural aftercare that protects the henna paste from falling off too quickly. This ensures that the customer enjoys their henna design for as long as possible.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While a major part of my training and experience in henna involves self-teaching and self-training, I have attended a number of conferences to learn from professionals who have been in the industry for 10+ years. This has helped me expand upon and develop new and existing skills. I have continued to stay in touch with a number of the highly skilled professionals who regularly provide feedback on my work, which helps me improve each time I apply a henna design.
