Kadzo decorated my aunt’s house for our wedding party and everything looked gorgeous. It really made our event so special. She did a great job with the treats table and backdrop. Everything was done professionally. She was willing to work with our budget and cut costs wherever she could. She even came later on in the night to clean everything up and take her things. Fairy Godmother Events is a godsend! Kadzo is highly professional and worked within my budget to plan the decorations and lighting for my "rustic-chic" barn wedding next April. Thanks to Kadzo's dedication, she was able to custom-build a decoration package that incorporated some of my own DIY elements, fit my tight budget, and offered day of wedding coordination and decorating services. Other event planning services just flat out told me that it was impossible to fit the budget that I had set aside, but FGE did what nobody else could. Kadzo's company Fairy Godmother Events, was the first to respond when I initially put the request for a decorating company. Kadzo was very kind and personable from the start. So much so, I did not desire to explore other companies because I immediately felt a calm (especially when planning for a wedding I needed people like Kadzo in my corner), and a connection. Kadzo was accommodating, very understanding, insightful, not pushy but very respectful. She is very knowledgeable to what she does, and for my experience to plan a wedding (with a 4 month from engagement to wedding date turnaround), Kadzo worked so very hard, totally professional, excellent quality of work and high standards (I was in such good hands). She worked closely with my wedding coordinator and together, they came up with the best layout for my reception that was held in a church hall. She offered to help with the decorating of the church sanctuary and had great suggestions. She is very punctual and professional with payment plans options as well. She even suggested photographers when I was searching for options. I also hired her company for the breakdown service, and I must say, she was quick and did a great job. Kadzo's company is hands down A+ quality and I highly recommend Fairy Godmother Events to everyone. My wedding coordinator who also coordinates other types events, from the beginning said she plans to use Kadzo's company in the future. I'm totally satisfied and it was a privilege to have Kadzo's company provide decorating services to my wedding. Kadzo was a godsend! We were planning a destination wedding w/ a planner overseas, and hired Kadzo to help plan/execute a reception back in the States after the wedding. We were so stressed about the wedding, that I needed someone to plan the reception pretty much on their own (with our input of course), and Kadzo did that. She was very responsive, transparent, and got things done. Friends and family even told me after the reception how wonderful, friendly, and professional she was. My mom said, "She came up to me and chatted and hugged me like we'd known each other for years!" Even at the end of the evening, as she was starting to clean up, she was awesomely stealthy - folding up a few chairs, stopping to chat with people, picking up a few things, mingling some more, etc. It was so subtle, which I loved. I felt in very capable, competent hands the whole time, which i s the biggest compliment I can give. Her assistant was great, too! We find that when we understand our client's priorities, we are able to work within a comfortable budget for all involved.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?As in all things communication is key! Our process begins with a 30 minute consultation where we listen to what you envision. Once we understand what your goals and priorities are, we provide a quote and contract. We require a signed contract and deposit to get started and once received, we get to work!! At regular intervals we keep you updated on the progress and to make sure your goals haven’t changed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Our background is in event coordination, floor planning and business management. With 18 years in the industry, we focus on being incredibly organized with an eye for detail, and have a long list of well-executed events and happy clients! New clients often approach us from referrals provided by highly satisfied clients. We’ve received consistently positive feedback from both clients and vendors we partner with.
