I like to start my review like a story based on experience and opinion. Here's my story; A door to door handyman was hire to perform a service to repair someone else's mistake. I've never hired a handyman before. I've always used master carpenters or contractors for my home improvement needs. The handyman proved his stronge ability to sale his work performance during his door knocking sales, so he was hired. An estimate for the jobs were supplied by the handyman for both labor and materials, which all parties agreed too. While performing the job I noticed his hardwork and agreed to allow him to perform other task aside from the work that was quoted. After paying the hanyman in-full and the check was cashed for the two jobs initially quoted, plus reimbursements for downpayments and other task, I was told that they changed their mind. That they won't acknowledge my payment and rebilled me. Well i don't know if your familiar with the hit move Despicable Me but you know when the minion character says...."wwwhat, that's exactly how I felt. The company proceeds to submit new invoices along with their receipts and hourly time sheets for their employees demanding that I meet their payments for the jobs that were already statified and paid for. Now as confused as I was I reached out to their billing personnel several times for explanation regarding their billing and their response was "you needed to figure it out". They processed to tell me that I needed to figure out their billing myself because they shouldn't have too. Again feeling that, wwwhat....... So I carefully looked over every detail and noticed that they were double charging me not overcharging me but double and with some items it was even triple....yeah. I also discovered that more then half of the materials purchase was not installed in my house, eyeroll! But the handyman rolled his eyes back and said "what it looks like is irrelevant". Now I know what your thinking, wwwhat..... The things we notice when we just take the time out to invest more time. This company went on to state and demand rediculus amounts of payment. Recharged me for the jobs that were paid for and completed. They submitted invoices for labor separately and submitted new invoices for labor and materials together along with all of their receipts for what looks like inventory and tools. Now I never hired a handyman before so I'm not sure if your suppose to pay for their inventory or not but I'm thinking, not. They went on to demand ridiculous amounts of money and stated that if it wasn't paid that they will take it to social media and they did. They are accusing us of stealing from them and hopes to gain much popularity over these accusations on social media. I would like to end this by simply saying do your due diligence on a person as well as their company. Should you do business with this company make sure they provide you with a legit contract that is recognizable by the industry and do your best to make sure you don't get taken advantage of. I hired David to do drywall repair after a flood in basement. He gave a good estimate( very close to what insurance paid for). He arrived on time, kept me abreast of developments, and did an excellent job. He even came in on the 4th of July to repair a damaged corner of drywall. He is honest, trustworthy, and hardworking. He does the repairs himself, with an assistant. You can communicate your needs easily. I would definitely hire again.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
My first job in high school was working for a custom home builder. My father owned a painting company and I started the home improvement end of the business which was Bowlin Painting and Home Improvements. I decided to branch off with my own company and started Bowlin Home Improvements, LLC.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I do anything from remodeling of kitchens, bathrooms, basements to general handyman repairs. I am a Jack of all Trades. I excel at custom carpentry which is my passion.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Don't always take the lowest price out there. You are often times paying for inexperience or lack of quality. Get referrals! Never pay for an estimate and get more than one. Work with someone you feel you can build a trustworthy relationship with. Don't be afraid to ask questions, the more you ask, the more you will know how knowledgeable your craftsman is.
