Mary is a fantastic trainer. She pushes her clients in ways that work for them. Each client is an individual. I love being able to go to her home for personal training. It's so much better than a gym. I would recommend Mary to anyone looking for a truly personal training experience.Dec 5, 2017
Mary is incredibly thorough in her explanations and notes, mindful of past injuries and limitations in range of movement, and responsive to scheduling constraints. She's the type of trainer to engender trust with clients, paving the way for safe strength progression and overall fitness.Aug 26, 2019Verified
Mary is an awesome trainer! She helped me get into shape for my wedding and I was very pleased with my results. I was battling a hand injury at the time and Mary made sure to plan around my injury to ensure the best possible workouts without causing further damage. Unfortunately, I had to move and was too far to train with her, but I will definitely call on Mary again in my future should I ever move back to Ann Arbor! I highly recommend!Dec 9, 2017Verified

Mary is fantastic. She works with you to obtain your goals and actually pays attention to what you tell her, unlike many other trainers, and works around physical issues you may have. Worth every penny.Nov 9, 2019
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Private studio: $50-75/hr At your home: $85/hr Online training sessions: $40/hr Tailored workout plans only: $100/month Shorter sessions and discounts available
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I begin with a free initial consultation to see if we are a good fit. If we both agree to work together we start with a brief medical history and then a physical fitness test. Sometimes a physician approval is required. After fitness testing we develop a plan that includes the client's home or gym workout sessions. After a few initial sessions to learn proper form, I give the client a set of exercises they can start doing on theiri own. These are periodically evaluated and changed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I went to medical school which gives me a background in some of the injuries that can occur with improper training. I am able to evaluate current trends in fitness by researching through accurate sources and I avoid fads that are not backed by evidence. I have over ten years of experience with my own trainer and mentor. I earn the required continuing education credits required by the NASM.
