Robert requested a service fee every time he came out for each job. When he came out he never fixed anything. He just broke things and then requested more parts. This was supposed to be a simple job of replacing a trap in the kitchen sink. He took over three days and he never fixed it.
I was about to give up on requesting help from Thumbtack because of the unprofessional, greedy, unskilled work that had been performed for me before. My sink only had a small leak until Robert came, collected a service fee and started tearing things apart and needing more parts (more costs for me.)
I asked him to connect my hot water heater. He connected it, but, he crossed up the inlet lines. He connected the hot water to the cold water inlet supply and the cold to the hot. This caused the wax gasket to melt from the hot water coming to the toilet . And subsequently, I developed a water leak since the floor gasket was melted from the hot water flowing through the toilet instead of cold water. The caused the toilet to leak that went through my bathroom floor and came through the roof of the lower living room damaging the roof.
I asked Robert to run a water supply line to my new refrigerator, but no water flows through it. He insisted that I needed to replace the water filter, but, this was a brand new refrigerator that had never been used before. The water filter was new and had never been used. I wonder is Robert incompetent or just doesn't really know how to fix things!
This cause me to spend unnecessary money and a lot of grief. I would not request Robert to ever work for me again and definitely never recommend him to work on anyone's property. BEWARE !!!!!!
