FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The first lesson is 30 minutes and always FREE. After which I charge $15.00 for a 50-minute lesson, whether in-person or online. I accept cash, personal check, credit card (all major cards accepted), and Apple Pay.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I generally start with a preliminary consultation to assess the learner's speaking, reading, and writing level, and to see how well we connect with one another. I primarily work only with students currently taking a middle school, high school, or college level Spanish course, assisting with classwork, projects, and preparing for written/oral exams.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied Spanish formally and informally over the course of ten years. I have lived in Spain in order to challenge myself and perfect my accent and fluency. I am not currently a certified tutor, however, I do plan on becoming certified once I am able to attain sufficient qualified hours of teaching. I also plan on getting a certification in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) in order to teach non-English speakers living here in the USA or to travel to other countries teaching English.
