Introduction: I have more than 20 years of furniture repair, finish/refinish, and antique repair. I use tools that were used at the time of the specific piece. These are hand tools mostly.
Some tools I even make myself to customize for the task at hand. Although I have a fully functional modern wood shop, I will never use an electric tool on a piece of furniture earlier than 1890.
