Abuse Bites--Dogs that Heel & Heal
About this pro
Lisa was amazing. I learned so much in a short amount of time. She’s super kind and has an incredible knowledge about dogs. My dog is better behaved now! And I have the confidence to train him going forward with what Lisa taught me. Highly recommend!Nov 8, 2017Verified
Very helpful in offering suggestions and demonstrating strategies for working with our dog. We have had good response on some things but have more work to do.Oct 5, 2017Verified
Lisa Freeman gives a very good mixture of behaviors for dog training at a very good price!! My Shi Tzu Bichon mix (Teddy) first started training with Lisa at 5 months of age (4 1/2 lbs) .and has already learned a great deal in only 3 sessions. She provides a well rounded class, giving exposure to a mixture of breeds so they can interact with one another in a safe setting.Sep 27, 2017Verified
After our first meeting with Lisa, I have great optimism to solve our dog's problems.Jun 30, 2017Verified
Lisa is fantastic and she taught us a lot and we are now working on all of our dogs with advice from Lisa. Seems like they are all responding to our new rules.May 30, 2017Verified

- How did you get started doing this type of work?Through a runaway, abused dog, Snickers. He changed my whole life and gave me such a love for dogs, that I cannot imagine doing anything else now or ever!
- What types of customers have you worked with?We offer everything from basic dog obedience (come, sit, stay, down, etc) to more advanced dog obedience/pet therapy (leave it, being safe around other dogs/animals, walking on a loose leash without pulling, healing, etc) , and even service and guard dog training. We also work on breaking bad behaviors (bolting, not coming, barking, jumping, nipping, chewing, digging, etc).
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?A couple brought their very large, boisterous and aggressive Old English Bulldog to me. He growled and viciously barked at other people and dogs--pulling hard on the leash like he wanted to attack. In just one lesson this dog learned and obeyed all the obedience commands and was walking on a leash without pulling. After just two sessions they took him into a pet store, which they would have never been able to do before! He's doing wonderful!
