FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge monthly, in advance, based on the number of lessons in that month. Payment is made the last full week of the month for the following month's lessons. I accept either cash or check for in-person lessons. I use Paypal to send invoices and accept payments from my online students. Lessons are: $25 for a 30-minute lesson, $37 for a 45-minute lesson, and $50 for a 60-minute lesson.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically the new customer will contact me via email or telephone. We have a nice conversation about the student's goals for piano lessons. I also take that time to explain how my studio works. We choose a lesson time from my available time slots. I email a link for the student to purchase the required method books to get started. I will also email an invoice for the first month's lessons. Once the student has the needed books and has paid for the first month's lessons we can get started on their musical journey.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied piano with several teachers from the time I was 5 years old through college. I have a Bachelor's degree with a music minor. Most importantly I have 25+ years of experience in teaching piano to students of all ages.
