About
I am an accomplished guitarist and pianist with more than 30 years of experience. I teach guitar and piano lessons in your home or mine. I offer private lessons of all ages. I am versatile and teach Classical, Rock, Blues, and Jazz music. I taught at U of M, Schoolcraft College, Novi Music, Evola Music, and Northville Center for the Arts, and worked as a Music Supervisor on several different soap operas in Los Angeles.. My rates are very reasonable . Teaching piano and guitar is extremely gratifying especially when I see my students progress and develop a love for music which can last for a lifetime.

Tom is a great teacher. He works with the style of music you like. (acoustic blues guitar for me). Rather than rote drills, his approach combines music theory and basics with songs I'm familiar with. I'm steadily building the foundation I know I need while increasing my repertoire of fun-to-play and fun-to-practice licks and tunes.

We're into our 8th year with our oldest on guitar and 4th year with our youngest on piano. Tom continues to do GREAT work with both of them & demonstrates alot of patience & focused attention, which is what they need. Instead of just following some textbook, he "customizes" the lessons each week & as needed which really helps them to excel & exploit their talents. Unlike many kids, my boys actually look forward to their music lessons each and every week! I would recommend Tom to ANYONE who is looking for an affordable solution to their childs musical needs.

Tom Wolfe has been teaching my children (piano/guitar) for about 5 years now. He is friendly, calm and tries different songs depending on what their tastes are.Willing to accommodate different timings for summer. We recommend him for his fantastic work and amazing teaching skills for his clients.

My 5 year old started piano lessons with Tom a few months ago and I'm very pleased with her progress and his patience! He's accommodating to our schedule and a great teacher. He explains things well in a way she understands and did I mention he is patient?!?!? I'd definitely recommend him as a piano teacher, and we're hoping in a few years, my daughter will learn how to play the guitar with him too.

Mr. Wolfe is an excellent piano teacher. Engaged and supportive, he offers encouragement and helpful comments regarding how to perfect or excel at a musical piece or technique. He is very accommodating when scheduling lessons--particularly considering changing seasons or obligations-- and is eager to pursue the most beneficial customization of lesson frequency for each student. As a former student of Mr. Wolfe, I highly recommend his piano instruction services. Finding another teacher as experienced and dedicated as Mr. Wolfe will certainly be difficult. :)
