Joe and John did an awesome job. The attention to detail and the value of the job were unmatched on the project I had them do to paint the entire interior of my house. Will use again hands down!Sep 26, 2019Verified
I hired Joe to do a big job after previous painters had completely messed up the interior paint job. I found Joe on Thumbtack with 5 stars. I hired him for the job and within the first 3 or 4 weeks it became apparent that he was the right man to do the job. At the completion of the job within a timely manner the interior looked great, he did a outstanding job. I recommend him without hesitation to anyone. It is clear why he has 5 stars from his previous reviewers. I give him a 5 star and I have already called on him for additional work.Oct 1, 2019Verified
Joe did a great job painting the interior of or home. It is definitely not an easy task to paint every room, hallway, and door in a house but Joe was able to do it all in a reasonable amount of time. The service was more affordable than other companies in the area and he was able to back up it up with good quality work. Joe also provided some work in addition to the estimate at no cost which was very nice. Overall I had a great experience working with Shanahan and Son and would definitely recommend them to my friends.Dec 5, 2016Verified
Very happy with finished projects. He also repaired our shed door which went above and beyond painting.Sep 30, 2018Verified
Joe and his crew showed up early in the morning to start working and completed the painting job on time and within budget. They made repairs to the ceiling and fixed damaged drywall before painting. The workmanship and attention to detail was top notch. I would hire him again.Jan 31, 2018Verified
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I go over to the customer's house to give an estimate. I find it rather difficult to give an accurate bid on something that I can't see. It's like how many fingers am I holding up.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? Most of my education has been hands on. I have worked for others and managed my own projects.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I started by working on my family's homes. We own a large number of private homes and rental properties. I found that I truly loved renovating, problem solving, and creating. I then worked a couple of years for a very good painter. Eventually, so many people wanted me to work on their homes, that I decided to go out on my own.
