I have worked with John for the past 7 months. It has been a great experience. It was out of my comfort level to work with a trainer and John made the workouts at the gym comfortable. He has been excellent to work with helping me reach my goals. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a trainer.
I've trained with Christian since 2010. He has helped me to prepare for 2 bodybuilding competitions (1st place and then 3rd place at pro level). It was his motivation and excellent training techniques that got me there. Christian is great at goal setting and getting you to the most direct path to that goal. He has worked with both athletes and anyone who just wants to get into better physical shape. Christian is not like the average personal trainer that you see at the big box clubs---he is an awesome coach who loves what he does and can share his wealth of knowledge of fitness. I can't imagine a better partner for your fitness goals.
Jessica is an amazing trainer. When I began training with Jess almost 3 years ago I was a year out from having twins. I learned early on from Jess that that inches come off faster than the pounds. After 4 months I was down 10lbs and that didn't seem like a lot but I lost 27inches and went from a size 12 to a size 6. With monthly measurements you can see and feel that you are achieving a goal and that building muscle does not mean bulking up if done right! As time progressed and I built more muscle, literally one day the pounds just flew off (20+ lbs lost). I stated when we met that I would never be able to do a sit up. I have since blown that out of the water and run numerous 5k's, 10k's, and 3 half marathons! The last being Big Sur, my dream! I also had a very high and erratic heart rate. After 3 years my heart rate has improved and is 30-40 beats lower while running. I now understand the need for a personal trainer. She pushes me beyond what I would make myself do. However, Jess will also listen as I have chronic IT Band issues. She understands when I say that I need to back down on something (as I never back down). Jess is an amazing trainer who will teach you new things about yourself and introduce you to new workouts you may not think of (TRX, Yoga, Boxing, how to use paper plates in a workout if you don't have equipment). She is truly amazing and most importantly we work as a team to achieve goals together! It speaks volumes that now my mother has come to understand why I use a trainer. My mother has now taken up strength training and yoga with Jess at the age of 62!
I cannot believe the changes that I have made in the past year with Progress Fitness and Nutrition. Not only have I lost over 15lbs, I have lost a lot of inches, and dropped 5 sizes in my jeans This past year has been amazing for me as I have gained not only confidence, but I feel so much better physically and mentally. Training with Ronnie has not only given me physical strength but also the strength to look and find a new job. A job I absolutely love, and a job I don't think I would have had the confidence to even apply for a year ago. I have gained confidence in the gym. I am no longer afraid to go over to the weight section in the gym and workout. I am educated on what I can do outside of my training sessions with Ronnie. Ronnie has also given me a great meal program, I love the flexible dieting plan he supports because it makes planning my meals so much easier. If I want something bad enough I make it work in my plan, so I don't have to "sacrifice" if I don't want to. I think the part I am most proud of since starting my journey a year ago is my accomplishments. I am so proud of the weight I am lifting, the muscle I am building and the overall happiness a healthy lifestyle has given me. I am not afraid to lift heavy which is something I never thought I would do. Being born with a heart condition like me, you are told you will never be able to do certain things. With doctor approval and having Ronnie by my side, I am doing things I was told I was never going to be able to do. I am so proud of what I CAN do, and proving I CAN do anything I put your mind to. I no longer listen to those who say I can't or shouldn't because I can and I will thanks to the support of Ronnie and Gosia. Ronnie is more than a trainer to me, him and his wife Gosia have become my friends. They have been so supportive of every step of my journey, and I am so lucky they have been guiding me on this amazing transformation. I am excited to continue my journey with Progress Fitness and Nutrition and see just where this journey is going to take me. If you are looking to start your journey or looking to step up your workout, Ronnie and Gosia are the one's to get you going and keep you there, and push you just a little more to get you even further than you thought possible. No matter where you are in your journey I highly recommend Progress Fitness and Nutrition. I am so glad I have them in my corner, and you will be too.

I have been working with Ellie for the past 5 months. In that time I have lost 40 pounds of fat and have gained a ton of muscles! I love this gym, it's a quick hour in and out no nonsense with the best trainers the metro has to offer. Ellie is a fitness and nutrition expert and she is always available to help. Dane trained me 18 months 2x weekly until the gym went out of business. Now am lifting on my own at another gym, not getting gains with the speed which I had been but still learning to work out on my own. The muscular base I build with Dane makes that possible and fun. The GOOD: -knows how to push but not injure a 50 year old client -expert at getting the most results for the time you put in and making it interesting by mixing things up -extraordinarily calculating and strategic: Let Dane know your goals and constraints (e.g. gain muscle but have a sore shoulder) and he will react with speed and skill to get you there -great physiological understand (gave me an expert eval on my shoulder soreness confirming no tear and proscribed exercises to strengthen lower traps and re-balance the muscles with good success) The BAD: -knows how to push you without injury, but still one time I had to take advil within 2 hours of blasting my legs with high volume squats. Once he builds you up to safely push you, you will discover what SORE feels like (even that is addicting) -you have to find supplementary instructional videos on your own as the focus is on maximizing the training session for results now (not focusing on how you will branch out later on your own). I have discovered insightful youtube weightlifting videos on how to bench press by Art of Manliness (Rippetoe) and Alan Thrall that I think are helpful additions to the Dane's coaching. SUMMARY: Encouraging, challenging, keeps you from hurting yourself while still getting you addicting to moving heavy weights and the exercise "high" you get by moving out of your comfort zone. Results, professionalism, and a little fear (that your heart will explode). I did things I thought I was way to old too do, and am still benefiting from it. I couldn't recommend Dane more highly.
Before I saw Brandt I was frustrated with the lack of progress I was making in standing due to being an amputee. Now I go to PT once a month and Pt says to keep seeing the trainer. I get a great workout with weights, boxing, bands, medicine balls.Upper body strength increased, weight decreased. Brandt great sense of humor. He helps with self esteem.
Eric is an exceptional trainer. He is attentive and engaged with his clients. He also understands his clients needs and goals and works to accommodate both, unlike most big box chain gyms.
NEVER BORING...With kettle bells, medicine balls, bosu ball, bands, agility ladder, boxing gloves and pads etc...Dr. Backlund makes each workout different and creative every time.
My experience with Amy is in relations to Pink Gloves Boxing. Amy does an amazing job leading the Pink Gloves Boxing training. Not only do you get a great workout you also learn proper boxing technique. Amy is a great trainer!

Very happy to support this organization. I have been taking Thai Boxing and self defense lessons here for several years, and just recently added some work with their personal trainers. All I can really say is - it works. The activities are engaging and have kept me going for several years in a healthy lifestyle.
