Introduction: To start with, we want to say thank you for taking the fight against racial inequality by supporting black owned businesses like ours. It really means the world to us that you care so much about making sure that minority business owners get an equal opportunity in the business world! Also, congratulations! You are one of the few who do versus the many who talk. Now, I don't know if this is your first time committing to getting fit and healthy, or if you have tried and failed many times before. I don't know if you are here because you know you want more out of life, or if the pain of living the way you are prompted you to finally say "no more!" Maybe it's a combination of these for you. What I do know is-because you're here-you've committed to raising your standard. I also know that this program is something that you have not ever tried before-because unlike most trainers and training programs, this one will begin with and primarily focus on the one part of your body that most affects your weight, your fitness, your overall health and your self-image: the brain. We're not just going to shed that fat, we are also going to shed those limiting beliefs that have been holding you back. We're not just going to change your body or even how you eat and move; we're also going to change your identity into that of someone who's fit and strong, who places immense value on their health, who sees their body as the sacred temple that it is. Because it is that person who will automatically adopt habits that serve them, will naturally avoid behaviors that do harm to their body and gravitate towards foods and practices that give them more energy and more life. And because of this new identity, you will be much more likely to maintain your new healthy stand and peak body over your entire lifetime as well. When it comes to the body you want, there are three pillars that lead to permanent change in our program. This can be applied to almost any goal that you want for you body, but if you choose to not follow these, you will actually fail, no matter what trainer you choose, because your results won’t be permanent. 1.) Focus: Are you focusing on stuff in your control, or out of your control? Are you focusing on experiences you want or fears you will have? Successful people focus on the things that they can control and want. 2.) Tools and Strategies: You need to know what works and what doesn’t work. People who are struggling with their goals are using strategies to meet their needs, but they don’t necessarily work for attaining your goals. 3.) Resolve Inner Conflict: These conflicts are what will bring you down at the end of the day. It can cause you to self-sabotage, and use food to fix things that it can’t actually fix.

I have just started working with Will, but I feel like I've already learned so much. I went to him with a very weak knowledge base surrounding personal training and weight training. He initially asked a lot of questions to make sure that he understood what I was hoping to accomplish and then planned my training sessions around my goals. He has patiently answered my many questions and taking the time to to teach me the importance of physiology and proper form. I have only worked with him a few weeks, but I already feel that my mobility and strength have improved.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    First off, we have to lay the groundwork for your success in our program. Here, you will shift your identity, from an “overfat,” non-muscular, low energy person, to that of the person that you desire to be. Either way, this new identity/person, that is the person that will have the easiest time making the choices that will lead to the body you deserve now and for the rest of your life! Now, this won’t just affect one aspect of your life, it will spillover into other aspects as well. Lastly, we have to make sure that the change is permanent and that this new you becomes your lifestyle, even when all the excitement has faded. See, that is yet another reason why most plans fail, and people have lifelong struggles with their weight and their bodies. That is why it is necessary then, to learn the necessary skills to maintain your success for the lifetime.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    No matter what it is, a product or a service, you want to know if it is going to be up to your standards/worth your money. We wanted to make sure that we are worth your money in every possible way. One of those ways though is by being one of the most credentialed trainers out there. Because it seems like people have a fear of whether or not their trainer is going to be able to work with their certain situation/limitations or not. That is why we went with the National Academy of Sports Medicine as our certifying body. They are the best in the world. To go even further than that, we made sure that we could work with as many situations and people as possible. We even have to admit though, we don’t have all the certifications to be 100% versatile, yet. That doesn’t stop us from continuously getting new certifications so we can be though. Here is a list of the certifications we have and what they mean: 1.) NASM Certified Personal Trainer. This means that we can work with most of the general population whether they be old, young, men, women, pregnant, diabetic, etc. 2.) NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist. If you are coming in with an injury, mobility issues, or are fresh out of physical therapy, this specialization enables us to work with all those issues and correct them in a way that will allow your body to achieve your maximum mobility and movement 3.) NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist. If you are training for an athletic event, want to be better at your sport, or want your body to just perform better overall, this specialization we have insider and advanced knowledge that will allow us to help unlock all the potential that your body has to offer and bring out the best from your body for whatever you want to do\ 4.) NASM Weight Loss Specialist. I’m going to be honest, this should be fat loss specialist. Losing weight really means losing fat and muscle, and losing muscle is not what you want to do, especially if you want to drop fat. This specialization means we have one of a kind knowledge that will enable us to efficiently, and effectively help you and teach you to lose fat and make sure you keep it off 5.) NASM Certified Nutrition Coach. Nutrition is an important aspect of your program. I’m sure you are worried about if your trainer will have enough knowledge to help you properly with your nutrition program. This certification means we have some of the best nutritional knowledge out there. This means that you as well are going to get some of the best nutritional knowledge that will help you keep this body long term and help you make the right food choices that still taste good Among other things, we employ other bits of knowledge that are known only by a select few in the industry. It’s those advanced pieces of knowledge that are the most important. And when you talk with us, we will let you decide if they are things that make us ahead of all other trainers out there.
