She did an excellent job on our oversized kitchen with it's many, many, many cabinets. Great value and she makes sure that the finished project is rightSep 13, 2018Verified
My cabinets turned out beautifully! I’m incredibly happy with the end result, and price was significantly less than all the other estimates I received!Sep 3, 2018Verified
Kayla refinished my kitchen cabinets. She did a great job! She put a lot of extra effort into the project. She was prompt in completing the project! Her rate was affordable. I have already recommended her to several friends.May 24, 2017
Kayla is a very, very sweet woman. Prices reasonable. My project was my 2k Sq ft house trim, door, window frame painting. She estimated about 1.5 weeks and it ended up taking about 4. She worked with our schedule, flexible. Unfortunately there are just so many areas that were missed with caulking. This is something that when I interviewed painters- every single one said that caulking should be done first. Kayla would paint and then I think caulk if she saw any issues..which were pretty much everywhere. Many areas where wood is showing through or taping did not get done on the edge so whole lines where it is not painted. The hardest for me being areas that were NOT supposed to have white paint and now do, and I do not have that color paint to touch up. Found many paint drips on our floors which are proving difficult to clean up now they are dry. It felt as though she moved on too fast. Instead of making a room perfect she would do it and move on and leave touch ups for last. Which were missed. She did say that she would come back to touch up if I found spots but they are literally everywhere so at this point we are doing it ourselves. I really battled with leaving a review because as a person Kayla is great and commuted very far every day to work on our project. But if I could go back and redo it I think I would pay more to have it done cleanly or do it myself.Nov 13, 2016Verified
I'm sure Kayla would have done a good job on the project but I gave her one star because she didn't show up for the estimate appointment. She didn't call or message me and when I followed up, her response was.. "sorry I had a chaotic weekend." I'll let you be the judge.Sep 11, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My estimated are based on the square footage of a room, and linear feet of trim.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Typically, we talk over the phone, then we meet so I can see their project and give them a formal estimate.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I attended the cabinet making program at Hennepin Technical College. It's a 2 year and 30 hour per week program. It was there that I learned how to use spray equipment for trim and cabinetry, but also staining and painting.
