Worked with Kohner for drywall/taping our basement. Team worked fast and incredibly happy with the final results -- clean lines, smooth ceiling, just really well done for a competitive price. Front office was responsive to our questions/requests. One small thing, and wouldn't rate them lower for it, but they run their quotes via texting rather than visiting the site before starting work...if you measure square footage yourself, don't be surprised if they'll need more sheets (and $) to complete project. But even there, they were more than willing to work with us. Would recommend to anyone.

The company earned all the above with competitive pricing, very professional finishing of the sheet rock after they installed it and a good finish on a knock down ceiling over a large area. We would hire again in a heart beat. Char and Tim will keep you informed should any changes take place, whether it be in delivery of materials, schedule of the worker or demolition removal. A great company to work with.

I interviewed eight contractors before choosing Kohner Construction and so glad I did!I was extremely nervous when I was told that I would need to buy all the materials myself as I have never done that before, but oh my gosh - I have an incredibly gorgeous bathroom because "I" picked out EVERYTHING myself - a very rewarding experience to say the least!! Tim and Char were very helpful in all communications about cost, what to expect and graciously gave me a list of materials that I would need along with dimensions, and the shopping began!Tim and Fernando worked on 2nd bathroom addition as well as 2nd bedroom wall / entry way wall remodel. Tim also offered his plumber (Troy), electrician (Tom), HVAC guy (Sergae) and mudding/taping guy (Rob). The entire crew did an EXCELLENT job!!In addition to the bathroom and bedroom, Tim was kind enough to ask his HVAC guy to get my gas fireplace going because it was extremely cold in my basement due to no heat source down there (wasn't told that when I bought the house a few months back) and he even had him install a heat supply for me. These were additional expenses of course, but Tim did not have to toy around with any of this, but he did because he genuinely cares.As with any project, expect the unexpected. Whether it be waiting on a permit, plumber, electrician... products and/or cost being a bit higher due to coding updates needed, inflation., etc... At the end of the day, I have high quality work before my eyes and all the unexpected things were satisfactorily communicated and handled. I am a smart business woman and know when I am being finagled, not the case at all here. Tim was very honest with me the whole way through and even gave me tips on what I could save on and how.Could not have picked a better company to do my remodeling work than Kohner Construction. Not only will I be using them for future projects, but my friends, family and neighbors are looking forward to having Kohner Construction in their homes as well. I highly recommend getting a bid from them before starting your next project! They are honest, caring, hard working peeps!I have added before and after pictures for the bathroom and entry way wall. Once I can find before picture for my 2nd bedroom, I will post those as well.

We are very competitive with our pricing and will bid jobs based on the amount of labor, materials and how long it will take. We will not increase our pricing based on the area you live in as many will do.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is to schedule a free on site estimate of your project. You may be given a price range at the first meeting. An Estimate will follow within 3-5 days for your review.
