FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I happily, but accidentally, ended up on the yearbook staff in high school. My family moved partway through my freshman year of high school, and one of the classes I wanted to take at my new school was full. Someone decided that yearbook was a good substitution, and so I found myself assigned to learn the ropes by assisting the editor-in-chief. By the end of the class I had pointed out so many errors in "completed" spreads that the editor-in-chief told our adviser that I was going to be the new copy editor. Being recognized for something that I was so blatantly good at and enjoyed doing so much made me confident that I had found a niche for my energy and talents.
