THANKS Kelsey! I'm looking forward to more drum lessons!
When an instructor contacts you for the first time and you can feel the positivity in his voice. That means alot to me. He is a very eager person who wants you to succeed. His professionalism shows. Thanks Colin.Oct 8, 2016Verified
I've been taking drum lessons from Colin for a little over a year. He's knowledgeable, patient, reliable and personable. Highly recommend his service.Mar 5, 2017
I am a long time educator so I recognize good instruction, and Colin is at the top of the heap! He is clear, patient, reflective, and provides excellent explanations. Most importantly, he orients lessons to my level of skill and learning style, and pushes me just enough for improvement. I am very lucky to have found Colin as my drum teacher, particularly as I just started drumming at the age of 66.Feb 23, 2017

- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I started playing Clarinet when I was 7 years old and learned to read music. From there I found a passion for drumming, I played in the High school jazz band and played with several groups outside of school as well. I went to school for recording arts in Texas, where I continued to study and practice drums and play in bands. I finally ended up in Minnesota, where I have set up a business teaching drums. I still play in bands and recently attended a drumming Master Class with Benny Greb in New York.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I fell in love with drumming at a very young age and I knew that I had to one day make a career out of it. As soon as I started teaching I found that I also loved instructing and had a natural talent for it.
- What types of customers have you worked with?I've worked with drummers from ages 6-69, from beginners to experts, and I've worked with children with disabilities and adults with learning disabilities.
