Introduction: I talk a lot about heart wounds. Those moments in our life that shake us to our core, turn us inside out and upside down, and cause us to fight or flee. We start to mistake the fighting or the fleeing (which often looks like busyness and "doing") for who we are, our being. The good news is, it's just a facade. How we show up in the world is deeply influenced by what has happened to us. Situations in life too often trigger our threat detection system - a system that was once reserved for saber-toothed tigers and natural disasters. Sometimes our wounds are big and other times seemingly small, but the size has nothing to do with the impact. The way we respond to the world is directly connected to the stories in our hearts. Those stories are like seeds that blow and get planted in the hearts of others. Our stories are our greatest sources of power and resilience, but in order to make meaning we need to be vulnerable to our wounds, break open the layers of protection and find the truth of our being. Resilience Coaching: I believe that the things that happen to us, the joys and the challenges, guide our path to a meaningful life. Our stories are the compass that direct us to the truth of our purpose. Sometimes our guidance system gets mis-calibrated by what has happened in our lives and the stories we hold about ourselves and others. My goal is to support the unfolding of your story, the realignment of your compass and the igniting of your inner guru. Public Speaking: I have a story of survival, but my story of finding thriving is the one I like to tell. By sharing my journey to meaning and purpose, I hope to inspire others to discover the gifts within their own stories and the ripples they are leaving behind. I speak to communities of all kinds, be they professional, spiritual, educational or enrichment-based. Community Building: As a restorative practitioner and expressive artist, I strive to build connections between and among groups. Whether your community is just forming, dealing with changes or conflict, or simply in need of time for self-care and renewal, I will co-create an enriching experience focused on harnessing collective narratives that create waves of positive change.
