National Dusters has been cleaning my home for a few months. They do a great general cleaning and when I needed a deep cleaning (inside oven and fridge) the place looked amazing. The communication is excellent. I had issues with a previous company not calling or emailing me back so working with National Dusters has really made me feel like we are working together. I am happy I found them.

She took me through the house when she was done to ensure it was done to my satisfaction. They did a very thorough job and pointed out things they could do next time like wash the walls and clean my oven! WOW. I will definitely hire them for my regular twice-monthly cleanings.

I hired Moriah and her team to clean our 4 bedroom, 3 bath home after a tenant and her family moved out. They had a monumental task and we were very pleased with the results. The oven/stove had not been cleaned for months and it was shining when they left. Also, Moriah's attitude was so upbeat that I was less down about the whole ordeal. They catalogued any items left and hauled them to storage for us. The carpets were so dirty I really did not think they would come clean, but was amazed at how the deep cleaning Dan did, upstairs and down, made them look almost like new again. I would have them clean for us again, and appreciate their hard work and great attitude.

Angel's Cleaning Service made room for our house on short notice. They came over and did an excellent job--when they say deep cleaning, they mean deep cleaning. Baseboard, oven, doors, etc. Really a major cleaning, which is what we wanted. She was extremely detailed and went above and beyond. Her whole team was very nice. We will be hiring them again for sure!! Terrific, terrific work and I would highly recommend them.

Komi went above my expectations in doing a move in cleaning. Upon entering the home he asked to do a tour to inspect each room and then asked nicely what I would want specifically cleaned. With literally only a day notice he was happy to make the drive to Woodbury and clean my two story house. It is sparkling clean and I am so happy I chose him verses all the other competitors. The oven and fridge look brand new! He was informative, kind and very professional. And had very reasonable prices. I will definitely be hiring him again ! :)

Vivian responded promptly to my request for service and questions. Tony showed up to my rental property early and with all of the cleaning supplies needed to do the deep cleaning job. He was thorough and removed stains in the bathroom and kitchen that I thought were a lost cause. He went above and beyond in cleaning the oven which is back to looking brand new. He took his time and completed everything I pointed out on my walk-through. The only suggestion I have for improvement would have been a little more detail on the windows and blinds, but I would absolutely hire Tony again in the future.

No complaints working with Loons Cleaning... hired them to clean my apartment to prep for moving out. They came in as the lowest bid of 6 by about 25 bucks. They were a little hard to get ahold of at first, but I was able to schedule a time after a few phone calls with Francisco who was very friendly and accommodating. The cleaning crew was on time, had no problem handling special requests to clean the my oven and refrigerator, and I was pleased with the results. Would not hesitate to use again, especially for the price. Thanks!

Have used them twice now, once was to clean our carpets, they went above and beyond as we had rented out our house and were moving back in. They also helped me clean the oven while there! We then hired them again to do a full house cleaning a few weeks later and they were professional and thorough. Left my place sparkling. Would highly recommend!

I used M&M for a move-out cleaning of a condo I was renting. Aide responded quickly to my request and was flexible with scheduling. She was professional and efficient, the cleaning was thorough and the pricing was appropriate given they cleaned my oven, frig/freezer, etc. I would use Aide again and highly recommend to others.

I really appreciated that they responded with such short notice to my request for services. With less than a day's notice they were there to clean my house. The floors looked really absolutely great and the oven was sparkling when they were finished. They even took the knobs off the oven and I don't think it's ever been cleaner! They worked quickly and did a fine job overall. Four stars because some things were missed; e.g., a few cobwebs in corners or surfaces that didn't get a good dusting. However I liked that when she left Nicole said to keep an eye out for these things and to let her know if I noticed anything that was missed so that she could get it next time. I think that was a really great approach as it showed a desire to satisfy in future services.

Sharena did a FABULOUS job with a move-in cleaning. Granted there were pieces of furniture, she was completely thorough. Between scrubbing the bathrooms floor to cieling, getting the windows and sills, and even scrubbing out the oven, our house is not spotless and waiting for all of our furniture. For the price, she worked hard. Arrived early, but not too early, and was friendly and hard working. I would recommend her in a heartbeat! Hoping we can get her regularly once all the cats, dog, furniture and I move up there in June! Thank you, thank you!

Though they were a bit late to arrive, I was happy with the work that was done! The house was clean & fresh smelling when I arrived and all the rooms looked great! They forgot to do my oven, but did it before they left. We had a large house so I was very satisfied with the work that was done, considering the enormity of the job. I would definitely recommend this company!

I hired Carolyn to do a "deep clean" of our 1 bedroom, 1 bath condo. We keep it pretty clean ourselves, but I hate cleaning and we needed some bigger items done in addition to regular house cleaning. Specifically, I really wanted the oven and stove top cleaned (we've lived here 7 yrs and the oven has never been cleaned and we had some HUGE stains on our stove top that I tried EVERYTHING on to clean to no avail). In addition, I wanted the shower/bath thoroughly cleaned, 2 large sliding glass doors cleaned, and our dusty ceiling fan cleaned. Carolyn did an AMAZING job! I can't get over the fact that she was able to get our stove top looking NEW again and our glass doors are so shiny and clean it's unbelievable! In addition, our shower and bathtub are shiny and clean (she was even able to lift some severe mildew stains we had around our drain) and the ceiling fan is dust-free. This is in addition to a very thorough regular cleaning (dusted our baseboard and behind bed, over door frames, etc). She even went above and beyond and tightened a loose screw on our toilet seat. Overall we are VERY pleased and it was definitely well worth the money. We are even considering Carolyn to do our bi-weekly regular house cleaning!

Lindsay is a AWESOME house cleaner! She is very thorough in cleaning every room even down to the detail throughout the house including windows, refrigerator, microwave, oven, etc. She goes above and beyond her job which is greatly appreciated. Lindsay brings her own products which helps cut down on me replenishing my own and they make the whole house smell wonderful and fresh. I would recommend Lindsay a million times over again because not only is she extraordinary at her job but she is also great company to have around.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much do you pay for house cleaning?

Hiring a professional house cleaning service is a helpful way to have a healthy home even when your work and personal schedule is packed. House cleaning prices vary based on how many square feet your home is, how dirty your house gets, and how often the cleaning service comes. Some companies charge a set amount — such as 5 cents — per square foot, with a minimum amount, such as $100. The national average cost for house cleaning ranges between $110 and $150. Prices can be lower in areas with a lower cost of living, higher in big cities or affluent regions. You may save money by increasing the frequency of your house cleaning visits. Often a company will charge you less per cleaning when you schedule more cleanings per month. The cost advantage rewards your loyalty, and also reflects the fact that more frequent cleanings make it easier to maintain a high level of cleanliness in your home. A housecleaning service may charge more for the first visit or for one-time services than for recurring cleanings.

How much does refrigerator repair cost?

Refrigerator repair generally costs a fraction of the price of a new fridge and shouldhave your appliance up and running again in no time. The problems your refrigerator is experiencing and the parts required to fix it will affect your repair costs. Where you live can affect labor rates, which will raise or lower your costs. Here are some examples of average costs:

    • Diagnostic fees: $50-$100. Repair pros often have a service call fee or diagnostic fee to account for their time traveling to your location with all their tools to assess the problem. If you choose to have them repair the fridge, most pros then credit this fee toward your repair cost.
    • Parts: $20-$500. A new compressor averages $200, an icemaker $300, and computerized components such as touch screens and control boards average $300 or more.
    • Basic repairs: $180-$400, including parts. This price range can include repairing the evaporator or fan motor.

How much does it cost to deep clean a house?

Deep cleaning a house goes beyond the surface level to clear out the dust, grime and gunk that’s collecting on the fan blades, hiding in the blinds, and built up inside the refrigerator drawers. Deep cleaning of a home or apartment costs more than regular house cleaning because it takes more time, effort, and cleaning products. You may choose to have a deep cleaning once or several times a year in addition to your standard cleaning services. You may have a one-time deep cleaning to prepare for company or to clean after a house party. Companies may charge an hourly rate or a price per square foot, or may offer you a flat rate after they have visited your home and estimated work time. The national average house cleaning price is $110-$150, with rates ranging higher for deep-cleaning services. Here are some examples of how a company may calculate their deep-cleaning prices:

    • 10 cents per square foot (compared with 5 cents per square foot for standard house cleaning).
    • $300 for a 3,000-square-foot home.
    • $25 per hour per worker for deep-cleaning services.

    How long do fridges last?

Refrigerators can last 10 to 20 years, although the most common lifespan is about 13 years. If your fridge is acting up, consider its current age when deciding whether to invest in repairs or buy a new one. Common easy fixes include faulty thermostats, dirty coils and clogged drain lines. Thermostats and dirty coils can be generally be fixed for an average cost of $80-$100. Clogged drain lines, which usually cause leaks, can often be fixed for under $200.

More complex refrigeration repairs such as replacing a bad compressor or replenishing low refrigerant can cost more because of expensive parts and higher labor. A new compressor costs an average of $200, not including labor. If labor is an average of $75-$100 per hour, and the repair takes 3 hours, you’re looking at roughly $500. Consider the age and purchase cost of your fridge; investing $350 in a $600 fridge that is 8 years old may not be cost-effective.

How much does a move-out cleaning cost?

Moving is hard enough work even before you have to clean the empty home to perfection. Instead of scrubbing your tile grout with a toothbrush, hire a professional cleaning company to provide move-out cleaning services for you. For moving out of an apartment, cleaning prices can range from $110 to $150. When scheduling a move-out cleaning, talk with the pro and confirm all the key points they will clean to ensure you receive your deposit back.

Important areas to have cleaned include the fridge interior, the oven interior, bathroom tile, the shower and tub, all blinds, and sometimes the walls. Some cleaning companies do not quote a flat rate for a move-out cleaning, as the number of hours it may take to clean structurally identical apartments could vary greatly depending on how clean or dirty the inhabitants were. For example, move-out house cleaning prices may range from $150 to $180 for one- or two-bedroom apartments.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
