Jerrie was able to step in on short notice to help cat sit over the weekend. She was very thorough and kept in good communication with me. What I valued most was how intuitive she was with my cat and took great care and attention to his well-being.Oct 8, 2018VerifiedGeraldine R.'s reply
Thank you Sara. I really appreciate your review. How is Watson doing now? Hope he is getting around ok?
Jerrie did an awesome job taking care of my two ringneck doves for a week. She responded to messages promptly and met me in my home to go over the details of their needs and care. The doves were kept well fed and very clean in my absence, it was clear they were in good hands! I'll definitely use her service again the next time I need to go on a trip. The price is absolutely worth the peace of mind that comes with knowing your pets are being cared for in your absence.Nov 28, 2017VerifiedGeraldine R.'s reply
Thank you Lauren and just to let you know I cleaned the cage every time I came not as needed. That's why so many paper towels. OOPS! Thank you for the nice review. See you in December
Jerrie was wonderful throughout the entire experience. Our little buddy is happy and healthy.Jun 21, 2018VerifiedGeraldine R.'s reply
Aww! Pat thank you for the review. He sure is a talker and happy boy. We became buds after 3 days. He would come down the steps to greet me at the door. Let me know when he wanted on the porch and even eat right away.
It's a pleasure to write about our experience with Jerry Rimas as a cat sitter and vacation helper. She is simply awesome! Jerry's professional approach while keeping us smiling with updates about our cat was a source of comfort and assurance that everything was just fine at home. She is so nice! Five star plus.Jun 8, 2018VerifiedGeraldine R.'s reply
Thank you Paige for the review. Please do keep me in mind for future services. Kitty and I bonded right away. She got used to me playing with her right away.
Jerrie is a blessing to have if you travel and need her services. I think she understands my kitties better than i do! There is no one more responsible, professional and overall equipped to take care of your petsJun 6, 2018VerifiedGeraldine R.'s reply
Aww! Thank you, Betsy. It was my pleasure! They would be waiting by their toys rather than being interested in eating. THey played with all the toys I got them. Hope they found use with the water fountain. Jerrie

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I am reasonable, punctual and go above and beyond my time. I do not charge a fee for the first initial visit. It is up to clients if they want to reimburse me for coming out the distance. I offer discounts to seniors and those who live close within a 2 mile radius from where I live. There are times I work with the client on cost. I also, offer a free day during the week for those who live within the 2 mile radius. I too have created gift certificates for pet sitting for those who wish to give as a gift for Christmas, birthdays and weddings for vacation planning.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?First I get the quote-talk with them by phone, personal email or sometimes thru Thumbtack. Then we schedule a meet and greet at the clients, on the first visit and get to meet with their fur babies to see if we get along. I pretty much watch their temperament. Then I introduce myself and show them documents I have created for Pet Sitting Requirements and a profile of me with my gigs and references. Then I explain my services. Sometimes it doesn't always work that way because they talk first. But I am personable with them and start talking about my own animals or the last gig I did.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I want to take classes in EMT and Animal Communication. I have a way with animals, talk to them and they listen. However for the EMT classes, they only offer them for Firefighters, EMT staff because there are animals in need when there are fires or animals who are stuck in objects. I do administer meds (pill, liquid and needles). I also supply decals for the clients windows for the firefighters to help save the number of pets inside in case there is a fire. Also, volunteer for Can-Do-Canines which is a dog group for people with special needs. Not to mention various rescue groups as a volunteer and helping with benefits to help raise money for the rescue groups to house unwanted animals. I too have fostered and boarded my clients pets when in need and found homes in extreme crisis.
