Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Our goal at MEI is to provide high quality customer service, together with achieving the lowest possible post-mitigation test results. We provide this quality of service on every home by executing a thorough inspection of the homes basement area and performing pilot testing (if needed) to determine the airflow requirements underneath the slab. Often required is soil communication in order to deliver optimal radon reduction in the home. I am passionate about owning my own business and helping customers with their radon mitigation issues. We guarantee our systems to reduce indoor radon concentrations to at least 2.5 pCi/L, short-term and sustained. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) risk-based action level for indoor radon is 4.0 pCi/L. The EPA also estimates that natural background outdoor radon levels are approximately on average 0.4 pCi/L. We can reduce some homes to under 0.5 pCi/L. My professional background / career is environmental science. I began my career working for an engineering / consulting firm, after graduating college in 2005 with a bachelor’s in engineering. I traveled the United States, completing environmental work on vast, unique projects. Examples of these projects include EPA Superfund Sites, Florida wetlands / everglades, and US Army and Marine bases. At MEI, EXCEPTIONAL customer service and low results are KEY. Call us now to discuss your upcoming or current project. We are here to help and talk, even if you don’t hire us.

I've had a great experience! Tim is very professional and knowledgeable. He worked around my schedule and installed the system in a few hours. The next day he checked to see what my radon levels were. My radon levels decreased from an average of about 6 (pCi/L) to .5 (pCi/L). At some point the levels increased and Tim came out right away to look at the system. He believed due to the cold, ice sheets had formed and may have fallen into the fan. Over a period of about a week we were in frequent contact regarding my radon levels. After a recent warm up, the levels dropped again and are back to below 1. I highly recommend Tim. He demonstrated that he cared about me as a customer based on the prompt and frequent contact we had when my levels dropped.

Great customer service and very detailed work. Our radon system was in a matter of hours and the testing after the system is in, is 0.6. The system was an excellent price and we will recommend MEI.

I had a radon system installed years ago and my current radon levels with that system were around 3.2. But I wanted the levels under 2. I called a few contractors and MEI seemed the most knowledgeable, super nice guys, and came in with the best price, which included more options than the higher bids. MEI was the only company to measure the pressures under the slab as well. They replaced my fan with a better fan and added a new pit in the basement. My radon levels are now 1.4, which is great as I have two bedrooms in the basement! I couldnt be happier with the work!
