Best math and English tutors we've ever come across. We first tried in person tutoring and then tried online tutoring. We were very happy with both.
Ben is tutoring our 6th and 7th graders. It was extremely easy to get our tutoring sessions scheduled-we were able to find a convenient day and time within a few days. Ben has been very accommodating and our kids have been really happy with the sessions. They feel they have been better prepared for their tests. We have been impressed and plan to continue until the end of the school year. Thanks to Higher Mark Tutors!
Daniel did an amazing job with my son's ACT. For my son's first practice ACT test, he got a 13. He was historically poor in test-taking and math. We signed up with Daniel for twenty 2-hour sessions over a semester. After all of the tutoring, my son scored a 20 on his ACT test! Incredible.
Great experience on planning, class content, punctuality. She put lots of effrots to make the class special for our french visitors, taking them to a grocery store, manufacturing plant, mall so they had the chance to practice in real life events. we all were very pleased.
Mark tutored my grandson whom will be entering the 2nd grade this fall. What I wanted my grandson to gain from the sessions was confidence that he could do any math problem ranging from two digits to 11 digits at his grade level. Mark not only exposed him to large number addition and subtraction but also multiplication and division. We were very pleased with the services received and will continue to use Freed Tutoring services.
Daniel was very flexible to our schedule and offered a personalized lesson plan to suit our needs. I highly recommend him.
I am a professional vocalist in the Twin Cities who also has a knack for academics. I have been tutoring students in music, math, writing, and Spanish since my high school years, and my bachelor's in music, anthropology, and psychology from Macalester College has only further fueled my passion for teaching.
Lots of writing experience, formal education through 1 year of graduate school at University of Iowa Playwriting Workshop; BA from University of Wisconsin at Green Bay, English and the Humanities with emphasis on Creative Writing. Last year I edited the thesis of a 2013 graduate of Hamline University, who received an MFA in Creative Nonfiction. I'm an avid reader, I love The New Yorker and am able to work especially with teens, as I love my nieces and the time we spend together at school functions, mostly performances of plays and poetry slams, also Poetry Out Loud competitions. Striving to avoid intimidation, in tutoring, I'm learning so much myself. And excited to find work that's this rewarding!
I am a student at Hamline University entering my junior year. I am studying chemistry and secondary education to become a high school chemistry teacher. I have had five years of experience in tutoring students ranging from third grade up to freshman in college in math, reading and science. I am able to help students without giving them the answer and make them think critically about the process they are working through. This critical thinking will be able to be applied in students' future education and occupations.
As a teacher of foreign languages, I have an excellent understanding of English grammar, spelling, and reading. I am able to teach and tutor in a systematic approach to make the learning easier.
I distinguish myself from other writing professionals by my approach, enthusiasm, and commitment to my clients. What are your professional ambitions? What are your specific communication challenges at work? How can I best help you to accomplish your goals? I believe it is important to understand my clients and support them in achieving their very best.
I'm an experienced kindergarten teacher and love to work with young children to boost their learning.
Learning is a very personal and rewarding experience, one that can shape who we are, and what we will become. Mark Banker was one of the most influential, dynamic and respectful teachers I have ever had. Each and every day I would look forward to going to school. In Marks dynamic teaching style I remember learning history not only through a book, but also through song. This instilled a life long love of history, to this day my book shelf is overflowing with history books. Due to Marks Military service, he was able to travel to many places. I recall sitting purely enthralled while hearing about all the amazing places he had been to. Mark set up an opportunity for his class to learn about a different culture by experiencing Lebanese food from a local restaurant. Little did he know, but this experience has instilled a life long love of traveling for me. As well as a respect for cultures outside of my own. All teachers educate, but it takes a special teacher to inspire. As a teacher or tutor you will not find a better man for the job. Capable and attentive, Mark is willing to put in the time necessary to help any student understand the concept. I would highly recommend his services, you will not be disappointed.
I can write anything, geared towards any audience! From procedure manuals to love letters & everything that sways between. If you are searching for the perfect words, I have them & can make them sing or dance, howsoever you may desire.
