FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and severe acid reflux - stressed out and burnt out - and told I would be on medication for the rest of my life. That was in my early 20s. After several breathing sessions, I no longer had thyroid issues or digestive problems, didn't need medication and was much calmer and happier. - Deanna I love practicing Qigong and Reiki, but I realized how much deeper these modalities are when the breath is added to them in a full and connected rhythm. When I met Deanna and experienced breathwork, I was able to heal from the divorce with my ex-wife on a deeper level than I ever did with a counselor. - Troy
- What types of customers have you worked with?
For private sessions, either Troy or Deanna guides a client through a breathing session by coaching them to breathe in a connected rhythm, where the inhale follows the exhale. It is a deeper breath than most people typically do. Staying with this rhythm allows the mind and the ego to take a back seat so that healing can occur. Adding Reiki to the breathing sessions further helps the client to release negative, stuck energy and to bring in new, fresh, pure, positive energy.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Journal entry from a client: I was in a lying down position as we began the session. At first the short exhales and short inhales felt funky & foreign & I couldn't wait till it was over. Deanna invited me to sit up and actually move with the breathing. I believe I was moving/ rocking back & forth quite a bit & it felt very good, almost soothing. The next thing I recall is re-living a dream I had just had the night before. I was in a small aircraft, as a passenger and we were flying in and out of Japanese and Chinese fighter planes, only there was no conflict. It was peaceful & almost like a dance. Tears filled up in my eyes. At this point, my hands were tingling & my lips were quivering. I don't know how much time lapsed, but the next profound experience was an overwhelming desire to cry & " let go", which I surrendered to. I do not know what I was letting go of, but it felt very freeing. I then recall a beautiful golden sun above my head. It was completely warming me and melting joyously down my entire body. I remember feeling so much love, support and nurturing. I also then recall the feeling that everything was going to be alright. Deanna said," Good job. Are you OK and do you want to lie down?" As I lied down, then the golden sun began to turn into purple moss. It was actually quite beautiful, because my birthstone & favorite color is purple. Warm tears were streaming down my face. I felt peace, warmth, joy, comfort and love. It was an experience I will never forget and I am very grateful. I am already looking forward to my next session. Thank you, Deanna."
