FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It isn't complicated, but no 2 jobs are exactly the same. Accessibility, size and material type can change costs for the same item. Again, if we talk budget in the design phase, I can ensure that we can design the project to fit a reasonable budget. I tend to lie in the middle of the overall price range for projects, but my quality is top notch and if that is important to you, we are a good fit.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically start with a few questions before we meet just to make sure your project is in the realm of what we do and that we are a good fit. Then we set up a consultation on site, kind of a walk and talk brainstorming session. Ball park numbers can be given at the end of this session. If we are in agreement and you like my concepts and ideas, we move into the design and estimating phase. This can take a week or two, and then once you sign contracts, you have a reserved space on our schedule for installation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an Minnesota Nursery & Landscape Certified Professional. That is our industries version of "the bar" that lawyers need to pass. The difference is in our industry you don't need to pass it to work, it is optional. I chose to take the test and passed with flying colors to differentiate myself from others. I need to get 18 hours of continuing education every 3 years to keep that certification, but I love some of the classes because they are on new and cutting edge industry topics, so I always have more than enough for re-certification.
