HOWEVER! I do offer discounts for bundling, and based upon the size of job. If the job is a decent size and includes tearout, install, trim, and appliances, etc.. I can cover a lot of ground in a days work and I am more than happy to sharpen up the pencil to save you money! I like to create bundles of all tasks included at a good rate, and if any of the tasks can be handled by the client, we can eliminate those prices as well! Always willing to work with my customers needs and budget.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I like to have a quick conversation via call/text or email, and set up an in-home consultation. We can go over the projects scope of work, and I will make an accurate measure for material. Then I will create an invoice for pricing and we can go over the task lists and numbers involved. Once we have agreed on the task lists involved and pricing for everything, we can take a look at scheduling and get something on the calendar! I expect customers to pay for their material on their own, I can help coordinate shopping and/or delivery, but the cost must be covered for liability purposes. I will have my client sign some paperwork before the job begins to ensure we have agreed upon the numbers and the scope of work. I would prefer to have a down payment of 50% on larger jobs, by the end of the first day working on site, but I am willing to negotiate with clients if trust has been built! I do not expect any money upfront! .. I would only expect material to be covered and payments can be collected when the job is finished to satisfaction. I warranty my work! If I made a mistake, I will cover it on my own dime! Any blemish or mishap can be fixed, I am insured and have Limited Liability Coverage through the state of Minnesota with foreign affairs for Wisconsin, licensed to work and backed by law. Upon completion of the job I will take photos of the jobs completion, collect a few signatures and be on my way! I will not use the photos for anything except filing, unless we have agreed otherwise!!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began working alongside a Carpet installer at the age of 16, doing Tearout and Prep. I worked with him whenever I was available for about 6 summers during high school and college. I explored other careers for awhile, and in 2015 ended up installing hard surface flooring with a good friend of mine who had started his own company. We worked together for 6 years or so and our crew became the top install crew at the showroom he was with. He and I were able to train some guys in, and I decided to start my own LLC and branch out! I really enjoy working on homes and seeing results on a day to day basis! I started watching HGTV shows in middle school and found a real interest in home remodeling. I am hoping to expand my task list and build a remodeling company over the years!
