Introduction: I'm extremely patient and I don't give up, which gives me an edge over my competition. If my student doesn't understand something, I don't get frustrated. I simply keep working with my student until it clicks. I'm also creative and innovative. I'm constantly looking for new ways to improve my lesson and increase my students understanding. I like making a difference in peoples opinions of Math and Science. My favorite is when I see my students' reactions when something clicks. Its like a switch gets turned on.

Jake was extremely responsive and scheduled time right away to meet with my son to help him prep for the ACT. Would definitely recommend Jake to anyone for tutoring.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started tutoring at the Math Help Center at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls as a freshman in 2008. I really enjoyed it and stuck with all through college. Eventually I expended into other tutoring gigs. After I graduated I decided to to start tutoring on my own.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Usually I tutor in Math or Chemistry. They are subjects that I'm most familiar with and the subjects that have the highest demand for tutors. I have many students at both the high school and college level.
