I would highly recommend anyone considering a wardrobe makeover or hiring a consultant to sit down with Carly. She was extremely easy to work with, very knowledgeable, taught me what to look for in the clothing I own as well as when we were out shopping. She was very responsive and respectful of my limits towards fashion (Im not girl that can tie or keep a scarf on), and the need for items to transition through multiple seasons. I was 110% impressed with her and the amazing things I purchased. Ive never bought so much in one short period of shopping time. The only bad part is when its all over. Because even though its only a 3 hour session, In that time you feel like youre transported to an alternate universe of knowledge and comfort (turn to Carly and ask or she just pops up with suggestions). So that would be the drawback, you have to adjust to doing it on your own again. But with the tools and tricks she taught during our shopping trip I have since then made great purchases on my own with no regret!

I found A la Mode on Thumbtack as a first time user so I wasn't sure what to expect. I hit the jack pot! I have had 3 appointments with Carly who reviewed my wardrobe, helped me create more trendy/current outfits and then shopped with me to fill in a few missing clothing pieces. She explains in detail how and why pieces work together and tailors her strategies to my different occasion needs. My 3 college daughters tell me how proud they are to have a mom who is so put together (their words) and I feel more confident. I highly recommend Carly and have another "fall wardrobe appointment" set up with her next week.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every clients needs are different, which is why we offer an hourly rate of $100/hr. Along with many other packages, having such a rate for most services allows us to tailor each clients experience to what they need most!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to ask some initial questions to be sure we understand your needs, availability, and styling goals to match you with the perfect stylist on our team to work with you. Then we connect you with your personal stylist to get to know each other and set the date and time of your appointment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our stylists come from different walks of life, but have years of styling experience under their belts! À La Mode has been in business since 2011 and with over 550+ happy clients, we know how to create the perfect styling experience for each client.
