Thanks for your interest! In addition to hour sessions, I offer 30 and 45 minute sessions as well as group/buddy training, all of which are priced at a reduced rate. That flexibility is one of the things that allows me to work with just about anybody, because at Thrive Personal Training, it's all about you - your goals, your program, and your results! Many trainers use templates and cookie-cutter programs - just copy, paste, and apply to the next client. Instead, I'll customize your program to meet your specific needs and abilities. Your goal may be to lose weight, build muscle, enhance your sports performance, or to simply move better and without pain. You might have several of these goals. Whatever your unique situation, together we will design a plan that will work for you. This not only includes our training time together, but also nutritional and exercise guidance for what to do outside of our workouts. Typically we start with a complimentary initial visit, where we set goals, review your exercise history, perform assessments, and determine the best program for you. John was amazing! The biggest things I got from training with him were: knowledge, feedback, results, and confidence. Knowledge: I learned new exercises, understood how they targeted certain muscle groups, and developed my mind-body connection. Feedback: When was learning a new exercise, if knew I wasn't feeling what was expected, or if my form wasn't correct, John was able to guide me in making the necessary changes to help target the desired muscle groups and ensure I didn't injure myself. Results: I established realistic goals with John and we developed a plan to meet them. We made adjustments bi-weekly or monthly and I was able to attain the desired outcome. Confidence: By obtaining knowledge, receiving feedback, and seeing results, I was able to able to gain the confidence to do new exercises without hesitation, go to my local gym and feel comfortable working out, and know that I am able to accomplish fitness goals I've set. Lastly, I felt comforted in knowing John was there so I could ask about exercises I was interested in trying, new goals I wanted to set, or do form checks if something didn't feel right. I'm currently down 45 pounds, am regularly running 10k+, have gained muscle mass, lost fat, and am feeling stronger overall.

John is very friendly, knowledgeable and flexes the training to fit me and my style. I love my sessions with him as he knows I like a challenge. H also provides excellent feedback and coaching on form.

I have worked with John for the past 7 months. It has been a great experience. It was out of my comfort level to work with a trainer and John made the workouts at the gym comfortable. He has been excellent to work with helping me reach my goals. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a trainer.

I had been into fitness for a long time, but was looking for a challenge and someone who could really help me with my specific goals. I had also been in a bad car accident that affected my form and balance and I was really excited with the fact that John focused on those issues prior to just jumping into a workout. He took the time to get to know my pain points and where I wanted to improve my health and fitness. I saw so much progress even in the first few weeks! And I loved the variety of the program John put together for me. He kept the workouts fun and exciting, yet still challenged me. Though I had to take a break from our sessions for the time being, he would be the first person I'd call to start up personal training again.

I love working with John because he listens what I want for my goal and we work little by little every time we meet. I've seen progress within a month! I really appreciates that he demonstrates the exercises so I can understand how to do it properly. He is a great personal trainer to work with!
