Piano Tuning
Nobody else could fix my piano, and he did. He is like lightening in his responses, shows up exactly when he says he will and is very fair with his pricing. My piano is nearly impossible to tune and he gets it right twice a year. I will never go to anybody else.

Piano Tuning
John did a great job bringing my almost 40 year old pano back to life. He arrived on time, started right to work. John did take the time to explain what he he was going to do. I am very happy with the work and professional and friendly attitude

It was obvious that John Clayton, from Lowertown Piano, had high standards for the work he was performing for me. He answered my request for service promptly and he appeared on time for the job. He was thoroughly knowledgeable about the work our piano needed. My piano sounded like new after he completed tuning it and I had him install a damp chaser humidifier to keep the piano at the proper humidity level. I could not be more pleased with the service and recommend Lowertown Piano most highly.

FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I charge $120 for a standard tuning on a well maintained piano in reasonable condition.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am an Associate Member of the Piano Technician’s Guild. I have a B.A. in Music from the Univ. of South Carolina; a certificate in Piano Technology from the Minnesota School of Piano Technology; and am a certified Dammp-Chaser installer.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?Just installed a Dammp-Chaser humidity control system on a Yamaha Conservatory Grand. The Dammp-Chaser system is designed to maintain humidity at a constant 42%, year round, which should extend the life of the soundboard and pin block by many years and ensure stable, long-lasting tunings.
