Hi! One of my goals is to help other writers become better at what they do - write. If that means giving extensive, detailed, page by page feedback, advice, and editing, I'm willing to do it. I hold an MFA in Creative Writing, and I have lots of experience with writing and editing both fiction and poetry. And, I mentor young writers, an experience I really enjoy, as I get to see them mature in their abilities to write. I also teach ESL in a one-on-one setting, offering attention focused on a speaker's individual needs. I am a native speaker of English and I have a nuetral American accent. I have helped numerous students with pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar, in addition to helping them improve their speaking and conversation abilities and comfort levels. MIke did some editing for a book of mine, and overall was satisfied with his work. I'm not a big fan of the Thumbtack software, but will tolerate it. Mike was always professional with his approach. He completed the project before expected and I felt his charge was fair. Will I hire Mike again? Yes!

Mike overall was very good at editing and bringing concerns he had to my attention. His price was within my means and we spoke about how the novel could improve and which scenes could be written better, etc., It's not easy writing a book; however, it's not easy editing it either. I'm confident that what I produced is good and will be received well.

I hired Mike as an ESL teacher for my son. He's got some difficulties at school because of the language barrier and natural shyness. He reads very slowly (( After several lessons, I can say that he already has good progress, is no longer afraid to speak English and almost loves to read!)) I like the fact that Mike has found an approach to my son and he is preparing for every lesson. He works out the pronunciation of words, talks a lot with him, they read books. I hope that by the beginning of the school year the result will significantly improve. But I am already grateful to Mike for the fact that my child began to communicate more and find common topics with his English-speaking friends! I apologize for the errors, if any. :)
