Introduction: Hello, and welcome to my vocal instruction page! If you are here, chances are that you've been looking for ways to build your vocal skills, bolster your confidence and find your voice. Wonderful! I am a Berklee College of Music alumnus, and I have worked for 15 years with hundreds of vocalists to discover and strengthen their unique voice and talents, and achieve their vocal goals. From getting cast in musicals, films and jingles to recording original CDs and fronting bands, even to getting over stage fright to sing karaoke--my students have achieved tremendous success. I have performed and toured all over the world, recorded multiple albums and commercial jingles/ad spots, and I've worked with everyone from absolute beginner to professional performers--so you are in good hands! I love working with such a huge variety of singers. I have students from age 9-90, and they all bring unique talents to the table. In one day, I may work on jazz, country, blues, musical theatre and Motown songs--I love it all! If you are hoping to find a classically-trained vocal coach that focuses on contemporary styles and what YOU want to learn (rather than the Bel Canto Classical repertoire), then we will be a great fit for one another! My lessons all focus on technique, style, breath support and control, and most importantly finding your own, unique voice. Each lesson is different and tailored to the student. If you want to learn how to tap into your vibrato, expand your range or build your vocal power, I can get you there! :)

Singing Lessons

Bobbi Miller is an extraordinary teacher with the ability to challenge her students to surpass their expectations; she does this in a way that makes the process so enjoyable. Thanks to her, I have exceeded my goals and developed an appreciation for singing and music that has improved the quality for my life. Sharing Bobbi's vocal coaching sessions with my daughter has been a truly fulfilling father-daughter activity. Simply put, Bobbi has the gift of bringing out the best in her students in a way that inspires them to take chances and fully develop their potential. Feel free to call me if I can provide any additional insight. Barry Mitchell, 602-300-2113

Singing Lessons

Ever since I have started seeing Bobbi, I have noticed massive growth with my vocals. She has a ton of knowledge and is very skilled. I always look forward to our next lesson. She has helped me stay very motivated when it comes to working on my vocals. I appreciate her and she is for sure someone I would recommend to anyone looking for a vocal teacher. She knows what she is doing! 😊❤️

Singing Lessons

She is pleasant and seems to know her stuff. After two months of weekly lessons I got the impression I was wasting her time and therefore mine. It felt a bit like being dismissed. She was not willing to go the extra mile to help me open up to my voice after telling me I had a beautiful voice and could actually sing. If she had techniques to help someone like me who she felt was blocked, she was unwilling to use them to assist me. I still very much want to find my voice because I love singing. I will look for someone else when the time is right.

This review is so disappointing, most of all because I truly tried my best with you. Every single review I've ever received talks about how much I care, how much I go the extra mile, and what a wonderful teacher I am. I take pride in my work, and in my ability to connect with people. I will continue to do so with all of the wonderful students that seek me out because of my reputation and skills. I wish you health and happiness.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I try to keep my rates very competitive, near or below the market rate. I offer package discounts as well--the more lessons you sign on for, the better the discount. I also offer the option of 30, 45 or 60 minute lessons, so students may choose which option fits their budget best.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I will typically consult with a prospective student to get a sense of their goals, experience level, and their "wish list" for repertoire, song styles and genres. I will determine whether or not I think we are a good fit for one another, and if so we put an initial lesson onto the calendar and go from there!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

After working towards a BFA from the University of Minnesota in Theatre Arts/Music, I attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. I've studied with renowned vocal coaches and musicians from around the globe, and continue to receive professional training as a studio owner and performer.
