- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The pricing system isn't hard. I have one quote for a customized wedding service that does not include the rehearsal. I have another quote that includes the rehearsal. And if a couple wants premarital counseling, that can be added on additionally. I request 50% down to secure the date and the remainder on the day of the wedding.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If a couple would like to sit down to meeting with me before they "pull the trigger" I'm happy to do that. It helps to put all of us at ease knowing what we're getting into. If a couple wants premarital counseling, I will do the required number of sessions. If they just want a service, I would meet with them a couple times to plan the service.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Masters Degree (2002) from Columbia Seminary and Doctorate in Ministry (2012) from Portland Seminary. I wasn't "ordained" online by a suspect institution. I also have training and experience in premartial counseling, mediation, and working with couples on financial stewardship/budgeting. Each year I attend a conference or two to keep my skills sharpened.
