Mark did an excellent job! He replaced two exterior doors, one interior door and repaired a pocket door. He also fixed a couple of windows. He did good work, he was on schedule and cleaned up nicely when he was done. I'd hire Mark again no doubt!
Nick did a great job for us. Enameled woodwork/interior doors, repaired very damaged walls from wall paper removal and painted multiple rooms. He was efficient and did beautiful work. I will be having him come back to do more work on my house and I recommend him to everyone.
I can't say enough about good things about Aaron's service. I needed a repair done the same day. Most other service providers while courteous would not come out on a Saturday morning. After responding to me within 30 minutes of my request, Aaron articulated his game plan for getting my door repaired and was on site within 90 minutes. 1 hour later the job was completed to my satisfaction, job site cleaned and I know have the rest of my day to enjoy. Aaron is reasonably priced, professional energetic and polite young man. He is my preferred handyman going forward.
Joe arrived at my door within the agreed upon time slot. Very courteous. Listened to my concerns. In addition to cleaning my clogged drain, he got and cleaned out the garbage disposal. Worked longer than planned by stuck with the initial estimate. Cleaned up after completing the job. I will certainly use Joe if need arises.
We had a couple of interior doors put in. Jim and his assistant came out quickly to get the job done and the doors fit great.
Dusty came out to isntall wood wall paneling, trim, casing and a pre-hung door. Great experience from start to finish. He was on-time, provide excellent guidance and stayed in constant communication from his first Thumbtack response to the end. I'd definitely use again!
Dan came out to my new house and did a wonderful job installing weather-stripping on my two exterior doors as well as putting the old storm door back on for winter. I can already tell the difference as the furnace isn't constantly coming on and the floors aren't ice cold. Very pleased with the level of service and care - already asked him to come back out to help with a pesky gutter that needs adjusting. Highly recommended!
I had my interior trim and doors installed and painted. I had started the process a couple years ago, but was having difficulty finishing the project with 3 young boys and all there activities. I hired Adventure 25 to come out and give a bid and they could start the project in about a week. The first part of the process was to finish the trim work and rip all the basement trim out and a couple of doors that had not been replaced yet. The trim work was done in a couple of days. The painting was delayed because of rainy weather. This is where the stress begins. The prep work that comes before painting can be a lot of work and time consuming. There was little to no prep of the trim. Lots of missed nail holes, lots of missed caulking and the stuff that was done was very poor. I was told that this is high quality paint and it will cover in one coat. I know better. It can take several coats to make the white trim look good. There was paint all over the wood floors, tile in kitchen, paint on the cabinets, paint on my trees outside, paint on the concrete driveway, paint on my fire pit. There seemed to be no care in the world. Jaimie kept telling me that we are not painters. I understand that but my 5 year could of done better. It was supposed to be rolled and instead there was pain brush marks all the trim. The one painter said he thought it would look cute to but swirls with his brush on the top of all the door trims. I met with Jaimie 4 different times to which he said how do I make this right? I would go through things with him and come home at the end of the day to find more of a mess and continued poor quality work. I have never seen anything like this. He would say it would be fixed but I don't think he would watch over his workers and forget to tell them things. I am stressed out beyond believe as my hope was to have this finished to spend more time with my kids. Instead I have to redo most of it. I had another contractor come out and told me it would be about 10 thousand to fix. He never had seen such poor quality work. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy. Very nice person but I think he was over his head and always in a rush, hence the poor quality work. Since I cant pay 10 thousand to someone to fix it, I am now looking at a year or so to fix my trim. Very frustrated and angry customer.
Picture this. ...a flooded house, with endless tussle with the insurance company and a gloomy moldy smell , until I met Julio. From hard wood floor installation, plumbing in the bathroom, installing a storm door, refinishing partial basement from water damage to helping with other handy jobs that were not even part of the agreement, because he is s perfectionist. The best part of it all was his professionalism. He treated my home with respect and I am happy to come home again.
The BARC representative that sold me my new roof (Jim McCrank) this past summer was excellent and he followed through the job from beginning to the end. The roofers themselves were top notch. They not only did a great job on the roof but the cleanup was spotless. Our experience with BARC was great and so was the price. Tim &Tamara F.
I hired Studio Rebus to replace two doors that were kicked in during a home invasion. Kel created a very detailed budget for the project that my insurance company accepted without question, even though they had originally estimated the project to be much less (not realizing our doors were custom sized). Like most home improvement projects, this one took longer than originally projected, but I would definitely hire Studio Rebus again, for several reasons. First, Kel is responsive. No phone call or email went unreturned. He communicated promptly and thoroughly at every step of the process. Second, Kel's very thorough estimate left no stone unturned, so while our project got delayed because of supplier issues, there were never any surprises in expense. Third, Kel loves this work, and it shows. Unlike handymen I've hired in the past, Kel is very knowledgeable about houses, and lovingly pays attention to form and function and even the most minor finishing detail (as we requested--we were not interested in doing any painting or finishing work ourselves). Fourth, Kel kept our home and garage very tidy during this process, cleaning up after himself each day.
We have a 4,500 SF home that needed new windows. Discount Windows installed all new windows (and 2 patio doors) at our home. The crew were very respectfully and put protective tarp down when they were working. They were on time every day for the install and stayed late to finish the project. What an amazing difference. I would highly recommend Discount Windows. --Brian, Plymouth MN
We have worked with NWFA on several window and door projects. NWFA has always been reliable and treated us very well. From the start of a project to the end they take the time with us to answer all of our questions and/or concerns. They give us a very good quality product at a fair price. We have been very happy with all the windows and doors we have from NWFA. We highly recommend NWFA and will use them again in the future.
Rob went above and beyond any expectation I had for my door installation and deck building. The final product is outstanding and I couldn't be happier. Do yourself a favor when you need your next project done and recruit Rob. You will not be disappointed!
KC construction was flexible, professional and easy to work with. He did an amazing job on our door repair and replacement.
Extremely punctual and quick with communication. Installed a new door and also shaved down a currently installed one so it fit better. Both were done efficiently and with care. Had an issue with the door knob installation, but everything else was great.
Mark did an excellent job with our patio door installation. He was responsive to our requests, recommended a quality door, and took care to preserve the look of our 70 year old house. He was very clear with us about what was included in his quote and did everything we expected him to do. I will definitely call him again for future projects!
Preston did an excellent job! He made my chair look totally modern by painting the legs for me a bright white instead of the dingy color wood stain that it was before. He picked up my chair to work on it AND dropped it off and he was always on time! Now that's dorr to door service! He works quickly too - fast turn around time! I would highly recommend his services.
I contacted Legacy Woodworking about repairing parts of the wood fence in my yard. Allan arrived when he said he would and had everything he needed with him so he could take care of the repair. He was professional and very personable. We talked about a few other things I'd like to have taken care of including some rot on an exterior door frame. I plan to have him make those repairs as well. I had checked around and thought his rates were very comparable to others. I will definitely refer friends to him as well.
Saul (Wilson) was absolutely great! I had a huge amount of interior painting. There was one area that was higher priority due to some new flooring being put in. He had a quick response and was able to accommodate the quick request and quoted a great price for the entire project. I changed from very dark colors (Red, Dark Brown, Burnt Orange) to lighter Greys. He was spot on with the amount of paint needed. Throughout the project (which took a few days) he was always on time, and ALWAYS had very pleasant attitude/personality (which I greatly appreciated). There were a few areas I noticed the old color bleeding through. (He worked a little later at night so the lighting wasn't the best to show the bleed through). I showed him the areas the next day and he took the feedback very well. He made sure touch up the areas I mentioned and said if I noticed any other areas (even after the project) he would come back and touch them up. He had a helper come in a few days that was also very nice. She did a great job helping Saul. Towards the end of the project I asked him to do a few extra items like paint a door and trim that our dog chewed when he was a puppy. He was very accommodating and got the extra areas done super fast. He really did an amazing job. If I ever need any more painting done, he's going to be the person I call from now on. I would highly recommend him and intend to refer him to friends and family.
Pella has outstanding customer service. From the initial sales visit to the final follow up with the office all this great. Installers are high-quality professional and friendly with the customers. I would highly recommend them to any of my friends and family.
