I was having a hard time finding someone to build an interior wall to partition off a room in our new home. Bruce responded and immediately told me it wouldn't be a problem. He provided me with a pretty accurate and detailed estimate before we got started and his crew that ended up doing the work were great. They even did quite a few extra things around the house (installing a dishwasher, fixing a broken storm door jamb and a wobbly step) that I really appreciated. I would definitely hire Bruce and Apex Construction again. They were a pleasure to work with and Bruce is definitely a people person :)
Deb is so wonderful to work with. She helped us with our drab living room and turned it into a beautiful and classy room that we just love. She has wonderful ideas and worked with our own specific taste. She helped guide us to make the best decision for the room and for our needs. We are so happy to have worked with Deb! Now we have a living room that has become our favorite part of our home. We will be asking for more of her services and input as we continue to decorate/renovate our home in the future and recommend her to everyone who is looking for an interior decorator.
If you are looking for help decorating your house look no further. Stacy is your gal. I refer to her to my friends as the Joanna Gains of MSP for rustic chic (although she can do any aesthetic you are dreaming of)! I hired her to help me furnish and decorate my new construction home. She was always very attentive and had a wonderful game plan to help me tackle such a huge task. She came over and measured my home and took pictures. She then gave me a 3D rendering of my home decorated! It was STUNNING. We then went on several shopping trips to buy the large pieces together. Later on we went on trips to find the perfect accessories at places an interior designer would only know about! Stacy was a great listener and was flexible if any pieces didnt speak to me. She was happy to point out other options that would look just as nice. Finally, Stacy got some amazing designer discounts at the large box stores. On the shopping front Stacy is happy to do as little or as much as you need! She can go with you or tell you what to find, whatever your preference. She is also a master stager and thriftstore expert too! Stacy not only does typical furniture placement, shopping, and decorating...she is also an architect who can make a ton of the creative projects she proposes in your home for you. You don't have to hire yet another person. Wonder woman I tell you!!! Stacy made us a custom mud room bench built in HERSELF. She used reclaimed wood from all over the state and from barns! She also made us a custom chalkboard wall. Stacy's daughter took the pictures for our collage wall that will line our steps, they are the things of dreams! Stacy also picked out a wonderful reclaimed wood wall paper for above the fireplace that is unlike anything I have ever seen. To sum up it Stacy is a joy to work with, she is a friend at this point. She can literally do it all. She is flexible on all counts and can help you as little or as much as you like at a very fair price point. If you haven't already, just hire stay. You won't regret it. -Tory
Bonnie has been amazing. She learns your style and preferences and incorporates that into her suggestions. She helped with space layout and showed me how to best incorporate the furniture we have in our new home. She is finishing room layout suggestions so we can work on updating our house room by room. She helped pick paint colors that I love and she is helping make sure we hang all our artwork on optimal places. She worked within our budget and has been an amazing resource. So glad I hired an interior designer and she was the perfect choice!!
These folks are the best! I can't speak on how well they design or stage, but I can say that they respond and follow up with you within minutes and are eager to help you sell your home. Great people. Not putting mine on the market until April and I'll update my review then. So far though, awesome!
Angie and her team are outstanding! Being able to move everything out of our home and having her stage it to look beautiful took so much stress out of our lives. She was able to take a split level home where the kitchen and living room where separated and make the entire space feel so much more open as your eye was guided to the beautiful interior throughout. She brought a special touch by adding pieces that really resonated with us – a thoughtful touch that made the experience even more special. In the numerous offer letters we received, prospective buyers commented on how lovely the home was, how well cared for, and how they were anxious to turn the corner into each room to see what was inside. Also, how it looked like many wonderful memories where made there and how they wanted to make their own in that special place. Angie’s designs where not only beautiful but made you feel like you could see yourself living there in a comfortable and inviting space. Since the proof is always in the pudding, we were floored by the number of offers we received and know that we received a much higher value on our home due to our decision to work with Angie and Orchestrated Living Design. Best decision we’ve made in a long time, and the relationship you’ll build with Angie is one you’ll treasure. Very grateful customers. Thanks so much! Shawna Stoltenberg
I got in contact with Gina Walleat through Thumbtack while searching for an interior designer to help me with remodeling my basement. Gina's portfolio caught my eye right away and I was very pleased when she contacted me to schedule an appointment to come out to my house. I felt confident in my choice after speaking with Gina on the phone, and was even more impressed with her after meeting her in person. Gina is very knowledgeable, has a great eye for design, has wonderful ideas, and at the same time is very easy to work with. Her ideas and recommendations are always followed by knowledgeable explanations and she has many ideas on how to change/improve/incorporate new designs. The space I'm working on is over 1000 square feet: a bedroom, living room, and bathroom, and with Gina assisting me, I feel like I'm on the right path. I already feel like the final results will be greater than I expected, and the path leading up to it is fun and non-stressful (as remodels are usually the opposite). I would contact Gina again if need be, and definitely recommend her smart and easy-going assistance to family and friends. Thanks for all your help Gina!
I have know Beth for many years and have worked with her on several design projects. She is an extremely talented designer and a smart businesswoman. F&P listened really well to what I wanted in my new home and used as many of my ideas as they thought feasible. When there was a change to be made, it was always for the better design-wise or money-wise. I was amazed at how they could come up with a drawn-up plan that was just what I wanted, even though I did not always have a clear picture in my own mind. They opened up a load-bearing wall between my living room and dining room, making sure that the city engineers came out to help figure out the safest way to accomplish it and to sign off on the plans. F&P came up with a cost-saving solution for an old shower in the basement, which saved me doing an entire bath remodel. In my galley kitchen, F&P built and installed a small flip up butcher block table by the back garden window, for having a solo meal or cup of tea, while gazing out the window. They put in new baseboards throughout the house and installed new doors. In the front entry, F&P removed the 1950's style floor-to-ceiling poles and instead designed a half-wall to fit around a bench with storage spaces for shoes which I had and wanted to use, for people to sit on when entering and for separating entry space from the rest of the living room. They designed and built it like furniture, with a finished look: inset panels and a top mantel-like ledge resting on cove molding. F&P cleaned up each day after their work, neatly stowing tools and materials and vacuuming/sweeping up construction dust. This was MUCH appreciated, as I was spending my evenings and time in between their work painting walls and woodwork. Everything was done with care for design, safety and budgeting. F&P always presented a complete written estimate of the cost, coming in at or sometimes, below the estimate. If there was an unexpected cost or choice to be made, they consulted me first, my decision being the final one. No hidden costs to surprise me in the end! I would not hesitate to use F&P Remodeling by Design for any future home remodeling and heartily recommend them for anyone wanting to remodel in their home.
Kirstin is great to work with! She has a strong design sense and she listens to clients. Working with her was a pleasure. I highly recommend Adolfson Interior Design.
Richard Ward brings a unique set of skills to the interior design world. He is a brilliant landscape painter and has spent many years not only transforming peoples interiors but also working as a display designer, display fabricator, furniture designer, and furniture finisher. He has a keen eye and an ability to listen to the homeowner while still holding strong to his vision. His sense of color is unsurpassed. As an architect, I hired Richard to create a multi paneled landscape mural to conceal an entertainment cabinet over a fireplace. I sent him photographs of a beautiful view of Cape Cod scene that the clients loved and he re-created the scene using some gold leaf and a subtle grid underlay to give the panels the appearance of an antique Japanese screen. It is gorgeous!
I hired Lauren to help with space planning, furniture, lighting and paint color selection. We had a phone conversation before meeting and she understood exactly the look and feel I wanted when she arrived. I was pretty set on having gray walls but didn’t want my home to feel cold. Lauren picked a fabulous dark charcoal for my office and a sophisticated light gray for the main living spaces all open to each other. Her suggestion for furniture placement was something I wouldn’t have thought of myself but love how it maximizes the space. Lauren is professional and very sweet to work with – I highly recommend.
Erin's talent is unparalleled. Everything she picked out I loved and it all worked perfectly in my home. She is extremely patient and works with your taste but she also offers her honest opinion. From the paint colors to my throw pillows, I LOVE how my home turned out and it's all thanks to Erin!!
