- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is per job, since everyone's landscape and home is unique and different in their own way. Our home uplights range from $155 and up, with the addition costs of transformers/timers/wiring and any light accessories that a customer desires. There is no "per hour" fee on our installs, its just material. Our service calls are $100 first hour minimum. From there, we can determine if more time is required for your approval. Most service calls take no more than an hour and include minor material fees (if any). If finishing up within that hour, we take the time to adjust and check every fixture, lamp, transformer and timer to make sure your system is functioning as well and looks as great as the day it was installed (or better...if we weren't the ones who installed it!)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin by setting up a day and time to meet. Then, we'll discuss ideas and a plan for the lighting as well as product options. We can then email a quote (or quotes). If you are satisfied with the quote, we take a 50% deposit and set up the full job for a Demo. The Demo process can take a couple of days or a couple of weeks. We set every light where it will go, but do not do any bury or drilling or anything. This is temporary to give you an opportunity to have us come out and make changes to the Demo. We can add or remove fixtures, we can move fixtures around or switch them with a different style. We do this as many times as necessary to ensure you are completely happy with the end result. We keep you posted along the way with pricing updates, if any, but will send over the final invoice once you've approved all of the lighting placement and aiming and we have 100% completed the installation process (Mounting timer/transformer & burying lines). This process has given us the opportunity to work with clients over a short period of time while still building a long term relationship with them. Our attention to detail and patience with the process has proven to be some of the things that our customers respond to most positively. The Demo gives you the ability to see your home in person, not just a portfolio of other homes or a computer generated design on your home, but the real lights!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Through our distributors and manufacturers we are provided ongoing education on bi-annual basis with some and a quarterly basis with others. We are constantly taking in new product and technique education.
