Do not hire this company!!! We hired them based on the reviews on thumbtack and assumed it was a slam dunk. Easy to communicate with, friendly, and confirmed quickly. On moving day the truck showed up almost two hours (7:45 am) after their scheduled arrival time (6:00 am). They said they had a drop off first and were sorry, so at the time it didn't seem like a huge deal. The truck that came was larger than the one they said they were bringing, and one of the movers said they had a second move that they were doing as well. Again, not a huge deal. We were promised same day delivery. Towards the end of loading our stuff, we find out there's a third move. At this point I'm only frustrated that this wasn't disclosed up from, but was mostly feeling sympathy for the movers. Moved from STL to Chicago, so I made my first follow up call around 530 pm. The employee told me they were 2.5 hours away from Chicago. I asked if I could put their arrival time between 830-930 and he confirmed. At 1030 pm I called since they had not arrived yet. The person who answered the phone said he'd call me back in 15 minutes. The person handling their business assured me that delivery would be same day, as agreed upon. I finally received a call at midnight saying they'd be there in about an hour. The idea that it would be remotely acceptable to move anyone furniture in at 1 am was a major red flag, and an indication as to how this business runs. I had friends and family waiting all day for the movers to show up. My neighbors were especially unhappy with a 1 am move in time. However, we still mostly felt sympathy for the movers knowing they had a long and tiring day. Little did we know, a 1 am move in was just the START of our problems. As the drivers were pulled up we expressed sympathy for their long day, offered them drinks. Whoever is managing this crew did bad by them by forcing them to work such a long day, followed by a 6 hour drive home. However once they started moving our furniture in is when the real nightmare began. Scuffs, scrapes. The legs weren't removed from the couch (therefore crooked) drawers and furniture scuffed up, bent, misshapen. Certain drawers no longer fit as they did. Our shoes had fallen out. We found one in our back yard, and several strewn around the house. Most of these things weren't discovered until the next morning. The absolute worst of all of this is when they brought in our desk. It was absolutely smashed. The movers told us it just "fell apart." The desk was in NO distress before the move, and has been moved several times before. We called management for compensation for the desk, which they agreed to after seeing some pictures. However, as they were still moving furniture in, the lead mover was also on the phone with whoever was at their lead office loudly COMPLAINING about us complaining. Regardless of whether or not the desk was in bad shape, people hire movers to ensure that their property shows up the same way it left. There is room for accidents and mistakes, but there is no reason our incredibly study desk shouldn't have been intact upon arrival with proper care. They are not professionals. Your furniture is not safe. We are STILL finding broken items as we unpack. A lamp was slammed down so hard in our living room that when we picked it up to move it, the concrete base crumbled out from underneath. While I believe most of the blame is on management for overwhelming their employees, the movers themselves did a horrible job. They got all of our items from A to B, but unfortunately we're still picking up the pieces.

I was moving from a four-bedroom home to a smaller 3 bedroom condo. Both had a lot of stairs, and I have some pretty big furniture. The movers were very friendly, polite, hard-working and never complained. Apparently they misunderstood how much furniture I have when I called to schedule the move, and there was not room in the truck for some of my things. However, they got all the big things on, and they had to go up and down stairs all day and around turns. They did an excellent job, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.
