FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most minor roof repairs can be done for $400 or less. I am very careful about keeping my overhead as low as possible so that I can keep prices reasonable and fair. I am fully insured with general liability, workers comp., and vehicle & equipment insurance, which is not cheap. That is one reason the minimum repair charge is between $300-$400. If ability to pay that much is an issue, please let me know, we can try to work something out. I'll do what I can to make sure your roof gets repaired and watertight.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We setup a time to meet at the property and inspect the damage. From there I will review photos of the damage with the customer and discuss the scope of work needed to get the issues corrected. From there, if the customer is happy with the price, we can get the repairs going same day, as long as I can get the necessary materials locally. Most repairs only take a few hours and I try very hard to have the work completed same day, or within 24 hours. Sometimes there are minor delays related to procuring the correct materials (matching shingles). I am equipped to process payments in the field, which enable me to get projects completed and closed quickly so that customers can get back to their lives.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree in business administration from Harris-Stowe State University. I was a licensed insurance adjuster for approximately four years after college. During that time I received a lot of training on roofing systems as well as real world experience inspecting roofs and estimating repairs. After adjusting I spent three years working for a consulting firm where we provided steep and tall roof inspections for insurance companies. During this period of my career I inspected over a thousand roofs and assessed damage from hail, wind, fire, and many other perils. Most recently, I handled commercial accounts for a large roofing company. During that time I helped property managers maintain and manage the roofing systems for their clients. I have been certified by HAAG Engineering in both residential and commercial roofing systems.
