My son had 2 1/2 weeks to retake an entrance exam. Not only did he have a learning disability, but Math was just not his subject, and he lacked the self confidence to feel he could succeed. Roger took him back to the basic fundamentals and built the strategy from there. He tried several techniques until he developed his style of learning. My son was eager, confident and initiating the frequency of each session. Result: my son learned in 2 1/2 weeks what he should have learned in 4 years of high school! Needless to say, he passed the exam and is now enrolled in college!

We first hired Roger to work with our son who is a nationally ranked student athlete. Rogers excellent work and influence on Matt was directly responsible for Matts resurgence in his academics and ultimately led to a division one 5 year football scholarship. Working with Roger was the best thing that I have ever done for school help. It was better than the alternatives because Roger offers 1-on-1 sessions and he genuinely cares about his students. I also became more organized throughout the years working with him because he shows you how to take care of your homework early on and shows you how important time management really is. After being in college and applying those habits I earned a 4.0 in my first semester and I credit the time management and study skills Roger taught meHe is literally THE BEST source I have ever used for school and life skills.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started off by teaching math at a local learning center and realized very quickly that I was quite good at reaching students and helping them truly understand math. Most importantly, I enjoyed working with students so much that the decision to pursue teaching and coaching was easy to make.
What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common jobs I get are SAT test prep and Algebra I and II.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would suggest to the customer that they sit down with the provider and get to know him or her better. Check out their website. Most importantly make sure that you feel comfortable and able to not just get work done but have fun in the process. Otherwise, each session will be something to dread. Dreading sessions does not lead to good results.
