FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My Father gave my his Canon A1 when I was 15. I used it for many years and I instantly fell in love with it. I had tossed the idea around for quite some time about doing photography professionally but never made the move on it until I met my Husband. He had a passion for photography and we made the decision together to turn our passion into our business.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find someone who is willing to listen to what you want but also has a passion for photography and isn't afraid to be honest - even if it isn't what you want to hear. You want to find someone who will really listen to how you want your session to go and what overall tone you want your session to have. You also want someone who will tell you why it may not quite work but has solutions that are close to what you want and will be so much better!
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
How labor intensive it really is! Some think that my works stop after their session ends and that is not the case! I have to go through and sort the pictures to get rid of the ones that didn't turn out the way I wanted and then edit the ones that did. This can take quite a bit of time - which not all clients understand. I don't take it too much to heart because I won't lie I use to be one of those people.
