I would recommend Keita Hiness Blessed Occasion to anyone! When working on our contract, she was extremely helpful and precise. She let me know exactly what to expect and what could be done to make my event the best it could be. She was easy to get in touch with and I never felt like I was left in the dark like some caterers I have worked with. She is very trustworthy and had no hidden chargers.
She went above and beyond. We had requested her to cater for a Boy Scout Banquet for around 175 people. We had Fried Chicken, Roast Beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, and dinner rolls. The fried chicken was seasoned to perfection. The roast beef was so moist. The mashed potatoes were a hit! She even gave us dark and lite gravy. I dont know what she adds to her green beans and corn to make them amazing, but they were not bland in the least. Everyone wanted seconds of everything! I was so grateful she gave use extra servings because we flew through the food. She even gave use an order of pasta con broccoli for families that were vegetarians! I had over 15 families tell me how delicious all the food was!
When we thought the food could not get any better, her desserts were divine. She had a variety of cookies. (My favorite was the chocolate chunk cookies!) The brownies were moist and extra chocolaty. She even customized her shortbread/sugar cookies with blue and gold sprinkles (the Boy Scout colors!). For refreshments, she brought tea, pink lemonade, and BLUE raspberry cool aid. We appreciated how she took into consideration our event and added little touches like that.
Keita and her family were on time to set up, which is very important to us. They were very nice and personable. They set up the food in a neat and organized way. It looked beautiful. Keita made sure I was familiar with the food set up and walked me through everything before we served our guests. I was over the top impressed and would recommend her to anyone needing catering, whether it is for a large or small group of people. I loved working with her and would definitely ask her to cater future events!

We had a surprise 90th birthday party for my mother that Blessed Occasion catered. My only contact with them was through Thumbtack. I've used countless caterers in the past and have to say they are definitely in my top 2. Ms. Keita and her staff exemplified professionalism throughout the entire process. She was very sensitive our needs versus what was best for her. The menu planning was awesome, a variety of options and suggestions were offered when requested and their promptness was stellar.
Let's get to the real deal..the food was AWESOME!!! The pasta con broccoli (oooh the seasoning) puffed pastries (a variety of crab cakes, quiche & chicken) and the birthday cake( a sassy 1 &1/2 tier creation) were my favorites because there was nothing cookie-cutter about them. I don't have enough characters left to describe the entire menu because I also have to share details of the decorations. Yes, they also decorated the environment. My mother is an avid Bridge Player so we used that as our theme. Blessed Occasion turned the activity room into a bridge parlor with themed table clothes, centerpieces, streamers and the cake.
If you haven't concluded by now that Blessed Occasion will take the headache out of planning for any event, just read through this review again because they are definitely my "go to" for all future events.

We try to work with all budgets when possible however, sometimes we can’t.

To bid an event, follow up via email or phone, set up a tasting if needed and secure the event.

I have my Business Degree, Cake Making and decorations certificates, I have safe-serv certifications as well as my staff. We also network with several other vendors to provide full service event planning or wedding planning to our clients.
