Cutting down large dead tree, hauling off old deck lumber and old patio concrete. Steve was very responsive, good communication, price was reasonable. Thanks Steve.
Andy and his guys were great to work with on my deck repairs. They did exactly what they said they were going to do without cutting any corners. Andy even came out to my home on a Sunday to provide us with an estimate. That showed me that they were willing to go the extra mile to make sure their customer was happy. They were honest and reasonable, which set them apart from the other companies that gave us an estimate. I will definitely use H&A Fence Company again for any deck or fence project in the future!
Rojas tore down our old deck and rebuilt a new one. The new deck is outstanding. Fantastic workmanship, my husband and I have joked that the new deck will outlast the house! Rodrigo and Angela were always careful to communicate with us as the project progressed. I would recommend them very highly!
John asked questions first, then gave us a good bid on the job, and was also able to do the work on a second job we had posted on here, knocking out two projects with one contractor! He was able to do the interior electrical work in a matter of hours, and came back over the weekend to do the work on our deck, which was very much appreciated given the short deadline we had with this rental property. We showed him the problem with our deck and he came up with a more stable (and less expensive) solution than what we had envisioned. Although we had a miscommunication on start date/time that left me uneasy at first, he remedied the situation immediately and did great work. I am a young woman and was alone in the house while he was doing electrical work and I felt comfortable. In my past experiences I've always been sent an invoice for work, so I was not prepared to pay at the time services were rendered (and given work was done in the evening over a holiday weekend we needed to pay in cash instead of a check since banks were closed). John did work with us on paying him after the fact, but now I know that is something to be prepared for when working with individual contractors instead of a company that will make things go a little more smoothly. We were overall very pleased with his work and how personable he was. Would definitely reach out to him again should another project arise.
Sorry it took so long. My deck looks great. He exceeded my expectations. He was on time, professional and a pleasure to work with.
Over the 9 years I have owned my home in Overland Park, and my experience with numerous contractors, undeniably, Aaron has been the most ethical contractor I have had to work with. Over the past year, he completed 4 projects in and around my home including electrical, kitchen, deck repair and refinishing. He's a craftsman and has immense pride in ensuring the homeowner is more than satisfied with his work. On the most recent project in June 2015, he was not happy with the work by one of his employees. He said it was not up to "His" standards so he spent the entire day re-doing the work. I would definitely hire Aaron again for several reasons: (1) He knows his trade - mechanical, electrical, remodeling. (2) He takes pride in his work (3) He does what he says (4) he's reasonably priced. In fact, I told him he needs to raise his prices as there are competitors who charge much more and do much less. Thank you Aaron!
I contracted Gary to build a 3 season deck for me. Gary and crew did an outstanding job designing and installing the deck. The crew was professional and the finished product is of high quality. I would definitely use Gary for future projects.
Michael did a great job on my deck and interior painting. He was professional, fast and a pleasure to work with. He is talented in many home improvement areas. I would recommend him to anyone.
Shawn and Bill did a great job staining a deck for us. Work was fast, clean and looks great! Thank you!
Shane was right on time. We needed a cabinet assembled, garage storage rails and a bike rack hung and some pictures and a mirror hung. He did a great job. Everything was centered and leveled properly. A couple places need some touch up paint after the work was completed and he took care of it, even finding some areas that needed a touch up that weren't part of the projects. One issue we had was not his fault. The bike rack needed to be hung on a stud. There is a quirk in the house where the stud didn't run down the entirety of the wall. One screw was in the "bottom" stud, but the top screw was just in the drywall. So when we went to hang the bike the next day, the rack began to pull from the wall. I called Shane and he came out out 30 minutes later, diagnosed the issue and rehung the bike rack, cleaning up the prior holes. We'll definitely use SK Maintenance again. Very satisfied with the quality of work and Shane appears to be a stand up guy.
I'll start off by saying that I am a construction professional so I more detail oriented for our house projects than most. It started with the bid to stain our deck. They stopped out to see the deck prior to committing to a final number which is a plus in my book because they need to understand the project before they can give an intelligent number (we through out the bidders who didn't want to see it beforehand). They gave me a timeframe and let me know what tasks they would be performing on each day. After we hired them it was only a few days later before they started power washing the deck. We bought the paint for them, but when we came up short they went to the store and bought more for me and even found a coupon to pass some savings on to me. Overall I thought they did a great job, and we will even think about calling them for future odd jobs around our house. I would recommend Ben to family and friends and I don't give references out lightly.
Daniel did an excellent job building a grate for our egress window well. Flush with the concrete and fits perfectly. Great communication throughout the process and a very reasonable quote. Would hire again.
Chris stained my deck and did an outstanding job. I am using him for other jobs. It's nice to find someone so honest!
I have had Brandon/KC Renovation Concepts do several jobs for me ranging from building a fabulous deck to replacing all of the windows in my home. Brandon is both professional and detailed in the work that he and his crew perform. It is very hard to find someone who cares so much for the customer and takes pride in their work like Brandon does. What is great about this company is that they will take most jobs, big and small. I will continue to refer all of my friends and family to KC Renovations Concepts! Sandy Hall
I am so glad I found Matt. After searching for weeks for a handyman I can call for most jobs, Matt was the answer. He is reliable, prompt, full of solutions and competent with both small and large jobs. Was very impressed with the cleaning and staining of out two decks as well as a few interior jobs. Matt pays attention to details and provides multiple options when available. Recommended him to our neighbor where he replaced a fence. Would highly recommend Matt for any of your handyman needs.
Excellent quality. Excellent craftsmanship. Very easy to work with. Gets the job done right and on budget. Not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either.
November 26, 2012 Review and opinion of Mike Yelton Construction, Lathrop, Missouri 64465: It has been over a year since the completion of this project. We were referred to Mr. Yelton by a neighbor who used his company to build their deck. My wife and I had been considering adding a screened in porch and storage room to our Overland Park, KS home in Johnson County. We were not a simple project because of my previous construction experience (customer thinking he knows what hes doing); my wifes and my conflicting ideas (argued for over 5 years before ever calling a contractor); and huge (12) screen free spans. I had also heard that Overland Park was a difficult city for building permits. He came in under the budget and before the completion date. The porch is 432 square feet plus an additional storage below of 432 for a total project of 864 square feet. It has a magnificent vaulted ceiling, 5 wide stairway, and built stout. There are times during the day you would swear that you cant see the screens from the inside. It turned out to be a beautiful addition to the home. It looks like it was originally designed that way. By the way, Overland Park, Kansas could not have been an easier city to work with. The Scout Law states, A scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent. I consider Yelton Construction to be the embodiment of all of these attributes plus, very economical, and fast. Do not hesitate asking him for a bid. Keith Barrett
I build custom decks and fences. I also do basement build-outs and drywall. I have 14 years of construction experience from framing to finish. I also install in-ground pools for Hot Spot Pools and Spa, LLC, during the summertime months. There is not much of anything that I cannot do. I am insured and have an LLC. There is no job too small.
I am a local man who is very handy. I can do anything that has to do with a house, from lawn care to the roof.
We do exterior and interior painting, wood rot repairing, decks and trimming. We have 10 years of experience, and great prices are guaranteed.
We are a small Missouri based company that has been in business since 1999 building decks and installing above-ground swimming pools and installing pool liners. We do quality work at a fair price. We are licensed and insured.
